The cabin was nice and cozy. Me and my wife loved our stay. Very pet friendly and neighborhood was safe to walk our dog both day and night. Things to do in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg which was not a far drive to either location. The recommendations in the house book was also a very nice touch.

A great stay with friends. Plenty of room, location provides reprieve from the craziness off Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Loved the hot tub. Good communication and easy check in. Our only complaint was the noise from people staying in the Shagbark community who were there for the car show happening in Sevierville over the weekend. Lots of noisy, low rider cars rumbling past our cabin all night long. Having stayed in this community before, I know this is usually not a problem but it was annoying.

Overall stay was nice

Had some inconveniences during check-in but Walt was easy to reach and solve our issues. I would have preferred the deck, entryways, and outdoor furniture to be cleaner than they were (my hunter/outdoorsman of a husband didn’t see it as an issue so I guess you can say I’m a bit “bougie” ). The lighting inside wasn’t the greatest. I had a hard time seeing certain things. The inside could have also been cleaner in some areas but as a prior house cleaner I spotted things others probably wouldn’t have. Beds were very comfortable and we loved the blackout curtains! Will definitely be investing in those. The location within the gated community was very convenient to the pool, dog park, and playground. In meeting and speaking with other guests at the pool, they had quite the drive to just get to the pool.

Adult family of 4 getaway

The booking/check in process was fantastic. I really loved the fact it was a monitored gated community. That really made me and my family feel safe. The property was initially great. Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location. However, there are a few maintenance and updates that need to be made. 2 out of the 3 toilet seats felt like they were going to come off and pinched the back of your legs when you sat down. The kitchen sink faucet was broken and sprayed in a wild fashion. If you opened the dishwasher the piece underneath the door would fall off. Also the bed that is in the downstairs bedroom has a very flimsy frame and a mattress that has seen better days. When we went to wash our clothes , there was duct tape keeping the dryer door shut. These things should be simple or mostly low dollar fixes. Regardless, our family had a good time.

Quiet and Peaceful

The house and property were perfect for a family. The neighborhood it is in is quiet and private. Our favorite part was the oversized top level deck overlooking the creek. The location, accommodation….all of it was just what we wanted by the mountains. I highly recommend this house for any family looking for a peaceful stay close to all the tourist attractions, but with enough distance to seem tucked away in the woods.
