Our hosts, Jon and Amanda, warmly welcomed us into their lovely, impeccably clean and well-outfitted Sanctuary by the Sea. We had everything we might need, a magnificent view of the Sequim Bay, the San Juan Islands and so much more. They were informative and truly helpful about local resources and adventures on the Olympic Peninsula. We look forward to returning to this treasure of a stay in the future.

Jonathan was very welcoming, kind and helpful. Although they were nearby, they were never intrusive and only checked in via messaging to make sure things were good with us. The house was immaculate and just as described with every possible amenity available. It is beautifully designed and very comfortable.

This extraordinary property had the best amenities of any property we’ve stayed in. Very roomy, very clean, and very well appointed. The backyard was spectacular even though weather prevented much use this visit. I would rent this property again.

The living room and master bedroom windows face the beautiful views from atop the bluff. There's a large deck with plenty of seating and a path to the bluff edge where the owner has placed a bench, complete with squeegee & microfiber cloth in a baggie underneath to wipe off the morning dew or rain drops. This host has thought of everything. The house and grounds were immaculately clean and tidy. We enjoyed birdwatching and relaxing from this convenient launch-point for Olympic Peninsula exploring. We'd stay again.

Sanctuary by the sea is absolutely beautiful! Secluded, peaceful with view of the ocean. The grounds with lush garden and bench to watch sunset. Jon and Amanda are great hosts! Upon arrival, Jon met us and gave us a tour of the house and grounds. The house is very clean and well equipped. It has a spectacular view and the grounds are very well maintained. We ate outside on the deck quite often. We do hope to return!

Beyond excellent

This place is incredible. Excellent views. Has everything you need. Very well stocked. If it isn’t there then all you need to do is ask. Jon is very well organized and super friendly. He has a wealth of knowledge about the area and is more than happy to share it with you. Sequim (pronounced squim by locals) is a super cute town and close enough to Olympic National Park. There is nothing negative to say about this place.

Beautiful location

This place was absolutely beautiful and the owner was very hospitable. The grounds were well kept and the unit was very clean as well. The view off the bluff over the ocean was incredible and the sunset was a 10/10. Tons of wildlife around the area including hummingbirds both days, bald eagle sightings, seals way down in the ocean, etc. The owners have some binoculars to use as well which was a nice bonus. good vibe!

Peaceful Retreat

This was an amazing place to stay! The peace and views of the ocean were incredible. The backyard is a vacation itself and may have even been undersold as to how amazing it is. We started and ended each day during the stay reading and reflecting back there. Jon is an amazing host! He is very thorough, the place is immaculate, and his knowledge and passion of the area was very helpful when deciding what to do. Just wish we had more time. One challenge is that the west side of Olympic NP is a longer drive, so staying in multiple locations during our visit (if we had time) might have been helpful. Highly recommended place.

We spent 5 days at this beautiful home and property. The home was well stocked and very clean. The host was attentive and provided helpful suggestions for activities to do in the area. It was also easy to walk to a quiet beach and through the forest from the property. We would highly recommend this place!

Sanctuary by the Sea is truly a beautiful location. The home is well taken care of and the backyard’s landscape is amazing. Our hosts were extremely accommodating and helped us with all of our inquiries. They also provided help with the adventures we had planned. We will definitely stay there again when we plan trips to Washington in the future.
