Fabulous location with an amazing view

Adelina was the most gracious and friendly host! Supplying us with incredible fruit and eggs from her gardens and chickens. The house had spectacular views of Sao Jorge and had tons of room for a family of 6. It also had a well appointed kitchen. Loved the location. A great stay.

Adelina welcomed us with a great big bowl of fresh figs, tomatoes and bananas from her stunning garden. The house was gorgeous and clean and served our 2 families very well. She came by partly through our stay and provided is with more fresh veggies and fruit when we ate them all. The view was stunning. From every room and every terrace it was gorgeous. Mount Pico from one bedroom and the town, the ocean andSao Jorge from just about everywhere else. We would highly recommend this house. The adults loved it. The kids loved it. It was a 15 min walk to the town. It's not a very touristy place so it was quiet and incredibly charming. And it's a short drive to pretty much anywhere else on the island. Thanks Adelina. Obrigado! We have already recommended your house to someone.

Unbelievably Good and Affordable Accommodations

The house was beautiful and well furnished. Adelina was a wonderful host who provided us with fresh fruit and eggs during our stay. She also helped us locate a rental car and a local health clinic when we needed them. I would strongly recommend Cais do Pico to anyone staying in the area.

Quiet paradise

If you’re looking for a great place to be your home base on Pico, look no further. Alina is a magnificent host. She provided us eggs and fruit. The views from the terrace are amazing. The town is down hill so have a car or plan on good walks.

Wonderful time in the best House of Pico

Als Familie aus fünf Erwachsenen waren wir 14 Tage auf der Insel Pico. Adelinas Haus ist sehr groß, mit wirklich allem ausgerüstet was man so braucht und hat mit Sicherheit die beste Sicht auf das Meer und auch auf den Piko, den man sich auf der Insel vorstellen kann. Jeder hatte ein eigenes Zimmer, so hatten wir viel gemeinsame Zeit aber auch jeder Zeit für sich. Wir sind viel gewandert, haben uns die kleinen Hafen Dörfchen angesehen, wir haben es nicht alle auf den Gipfel geschafft, für den Piko sind Wanderschuhe ein Muss. Und wir haben tatsächlich einen Blauwal gesehen. Und natürlich Delfine. Die Gastgeberin Adelina spricht gut Englisch, sie hat immer wieder gefragt ob irgendetwas fehlt, aber es war alles perfekt. Die Insel zieht einen in den Bann und entschleunigt. Es lohnt sich auch die anderen Nachbarinseln anzusehen. Ein wundervoller Ort und ein wundervolles Haus.

Nice apartment with great view

We choose this apartment where we stayed for a week for its central location and this turned out to be the case. It is located close to the regional road to the mountain area and Lajes. The host was not able to welcome us in person but via the phone we received all essential information, we could always reach her by phone. She provided some fresh fruit, tomatoes, water, milk, coffee and tea, so we did not have to buy these at the start. The house has a great sea view and has all facilities you need to have a comfortable stay. There are 3 restaurants, 2 supermarkets and a baker within 5 min drive by car. The sea swimming pool is at approx 15-20 min walking distance. It really met our expectations.
