Shepherd Cottage -

Historic Shepherd Cottage es una de las cabañas antiguas originales sobrevivientes de 'Old Grayton Beach', establecida en la década de 1880. Esta cabaña ha sido actualizada con una nueva cocina, calefacción central y aire, con énfasis en la preservación de sus características originales. Es una pequeña casa de campo y es ideal para una escapada romántica para una pareja.

La casa está rodeada de altos pinos y rodeada de prados de palmeras con un gran porche con columpios y mecedoras. Es un gran lugar para relajarse, y a poca distancia a pie de la playa del golfo, el lago occidental, el restaurante Red Bar, la galería Zoo, la tienda general, Hibiscus Guest House & Cafe, Grayton Coffee House, etc. También puede alquilar bicicletas en la tienda General y disfrutar de kilómetros y kilómetros de senderos para bicicletas pavimentados fuera de la carretera a través del Parque Estatal Grayton Beach, Watercolor, Seaside, etc.

Great customer service

The property was super cute and clean. The customer service was great, we locked ourselves out and they resolved the problem immediately. They also communicated well, and notified us the property was 2 hours early and could check in early free of charge!

Underwhelmed with the stay

The cabin was lovely and clean. However we were cold, even with the heat running a lot. Lots of cold coming in through the doors.There was a blackout for a few hours on the second day, which did not help the situation. We understand that is not the owner fault. But when we realized after the electricity was restored, that we had no hot water to shower, we were offered no solution by the manager. We paid a lot of money for this rental and don't feel like we got the value for what we paid. I would not go back.

Grayt Beach “Camp”

The cottage was perfect for our getaway and we had bikes delivered to the property right before we checked in and enjoyed exploring the area, State Parks, and the beautiful beaches that surround Grayton. We loved the outdoor shower and grill and the front porch swing was perfect for happy hour. We will definitely be back!

Cozy cabin with a tin roof porch

We enjoyed staying in this Grayton beach historic home. There is a lot to love about this quirky cabin. The Grayton shuttle makes this location more desirable as they pick you up and drop you off right across the street. The drivers are friendly and helpful - a wonderful service. I’m not giving a 5 star bc the kitchen is lacking and so is lighting on the back porch. The washer and dryer are outside making it difficult to do laundry in the dark or in the rain- the only time i want to do laundry. If you don’t plan to cook or do laundry on your holiday (i hope you don’t) this there is not a thing wrong with this gem! If it should rain while you are there you will love the tin roof on the front porch!

Very cute…mostly satisfied.

My main issue is I did not realize it was on a busy road. From the photos it looks like it’s in the woods. A few easy fixes would improve rating. Close to great bars and restaurants plus beach although r weather was wet and windy

Ideal location for anniversary celebration!

Being in this super cute cottage and walking to the beach and local restaurants for quick food or live music was easy and ideal. The additional outdoor shower was a bonus for in-between beach trips. The locals and visitors were all very friendly. I highly recommend this experience.

The cottage was everything we were looking for. Simple, cozy, laid back, close to the beach and restaurants. We will definitely be back, more likely in the fall of the year rather than blistering heat of August.

Good location, needs some TLC

We loved being in Grayton Beach. Cottage was cozy with lots of charm and we used our bikes to get around. Bed was very uncomfortable and should be replaced. The kitchen tools need to be refreshed: 1 new baking pan, a couple of more glasses and a measuring cup would be useful. Cooking is challenging because the smoke alarm is right next to the stove and boiling water made the alarm sound. Beach towels would be awfully nice too, since this is a beach house. If the price were lower, maybe we wouldn't remark on these things. But at over $350/night, it seems reasonable to expect. Anyone booking this should note that it works well for 2 average sized adults as the bed fills the entire bedroom. Worked fine for us. Also, don't bring clothes that need hanging - there are no hangers and nowhere to hang them. So....expect upscale glamping in paradise and enjoy. We had a great week.
