The property was the perfect place to stay in downtown Santa barbara. It was quiet and had all the amenities we needed! It was easily within walking distance of state street in the beach. The views were spectacular of the Santa ynez mountains. We will definitely be back!

What we liked: Great location, right next to the happening State Street. Has an on site EV charger. Checkin experience was seamless. Place was quite clean. What we did not like: This is specifically for the Baby Dux room (other 2 rooms would likely not have this issue): There is no separate bedroom, just a studio apartment with a couch that converts into a bed that isn’t too comfortable even with the bed topper. Did not provide proper sleeping pillows, had to use the couch pillows. We felt deceived as the property posted pictures of the entire place and not by specific room type, leading us to believe that we’d actually get a bedroom with a proper bed. I expected more for the high room rate being charged. The washer dryer unit in the bathroom is too large and protruding, making it very crammed to use the toilet. Suggestions to owner: Please post pictures by room type and make it apparent to guests what they’re really getting. Upgrade to a more comfortable couch bed. Provide proper bedtime pillows. Push in the washer dryer unit or get a smaller one. Include some extra toiletries like lotion and make the storage space for the hair dryer more elegant.

I highly recommend The 3 Dux! In the Papa suite, we spent each morning enjoying our gourmet coffee provided by the host (with a wide selection of creamers) on the balcony, watching the sun rise against the mountains. At night we loved the fire and being so close to restaurants and wine tasting. The location is perfect - close enough to take a run on the bike path along the beach and enjoy great people-watching on State Street, but then retire to a quiet oasis for the night. The bedding was very comfortable. The host was even kind enough to mail us some items we forgot when we left. Thank you! We will definitely stay here again!

Mama Dux is great.

This is a wonderful place to stay. One block off of State St., perfect location. Even being so central the unit is extremely private, with both a nice deck and a separate patio with table and BBQ in a pretty garden. The inside is very pretty, lots of nice art and appointments. VERY clean. Good bed, nice shower, great kitchen. Of the many Air B and Bs I have stayed in, this ranks in the top 10. The owners are very communicative and great with follow up, all by text and email. A great find!!!!

the sweet spot

Our stay at the 3 Dux was wonderful. Located just steps away from the funk zone, state street and the beach, we did not move the car the whole stay. The apartment was clean spacious and the well appointed deck had a beautiful view of the mountains at sunset. We hope we are able to stay with you again!
