Disappointing -Very Overrated for the Price

The property is beautifully decorated, very charming with great views and close proximity to the center of town but it costs the same as a fancy boutique hotel and it is not. The hot water didn't work properly. There is basically no reception and no one who speaks English. Our room was advertised with a fireplace and private hot tub. Neither of them worked and the private hot tub was on a regular pathway for the staff rounds. Our room was relatively quiet, but I saw that other rooms were right next to a very busy and noisy road. The room we booked online came with free breakfast, and we showed them the page, but they insisted we still must pay for breakfast (which was very good by the way) and pay in cash. The staff seemed generally very nice, but overall this hotel was a disappointment. It needs to either lower its prices and/or fix its services and honor the amenities it advertises.

Beautiful setting with breathtaking views. The view from our private deck was amazing. San Miguel is a loud city so be prepared for cars/fireworks/etc potentially making noise throughout the night.

1811 dated hacienda, 5 star boutique

A not so known gem in San Miguel de Allende. Normally you would look for hotels that are closest to the cathedral given night life entertainment will be right there, so you might miss this splendid choice. Campanario room has the best views of of the city, great bed, well furnished. The only two downsides are the bathroom size (shower is typical European mini chamber sized) and the busy road on the back (used by inner-city passenger buses). Great option for couples retreat.

Beautiful, quiet, place to stay, and very well located. The service was top-notch, and the staff was always kind, polite and helpful. One of my best hospitality experience in Mexico.

This is an exquisite property, beautifully manicured and well maintained. Its like an old historical castle with thick walls and the rooms are just amazing. Breakfast is included and hotel offer a variety in the menu each morning. Even the breakfast room and sitting areas are straight out of Architectural Digest. Rooftop decks with great views and hotel is located just a few blocks from the main square and market. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
