Fine food, animal cuddles plus views to Nicaragua
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed La Finca Azul, and especially the family whose vision it is -- including Nacho, Oli, and Cece, the three dogs. I've stayed in agroturismos in Italy, and this was a very similar experience, complete with the fabulous food. I'm pretty sure Italy doesn't offer swimming by yourself in a mountain stream surrounded by the echoes of howler monkeys.

The Cordoba family welcome and embraces their guests, sharing their special gifts. Warren’s gourmet food is not to be missed as is his knowledge of the area. Jeni is a gentle Yin Yoga teacher and healer. The dogs and farm animals all reflect the family’s gentle and caring spirit. It is truly a special place.

La Finca Azul is a really nice place to stay. We only stayed for one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer. It's surrounded by beautiful nature, with a river nearby. The food was good, and the owner's daughters were really sweet to our two-year-old. If you want a peaceful getaway with nature and friendly people, this is a great place to go.
