Get ready for a wonderful adventure! Your yurt awaits you just a 15-minute hike up the mountain from the Tyroparc guest lodge.



In summer, follow the marked trails through unspoiled nature—an easy and safe hike that will let you soak in the beauty of the surrounding landscape. In winter, strap on your snowshoes or skis and experience the magic of making your way through powder snow!



Don’t forget your backpack! It’s truly your best companion for this getaway. A lightweight backpack with just the essentials is the key to fully enjoying the journey and arriving at your doorstep feeling refreshed and light on your feet.

Guest Access:

The yurt is located a 15-minute walk up the mountain from the Tyroparc visitor center. In summer, marked trails will guide you safely to your lodge. In winter, snowshoes or skis are required to reach the yurt. We recommend packing light and bringing only the essentials in your backpack.



Summer:

★ Marked and safe trails (in front of the Tyroparc reception chalet)

★ Be sure to wear good hiking boots



Winter:

★ Snowshoes or skis required

★ Our team clears the snow between stays, but you may need to shovel a little upon arrival

★ It’s up to you to clear the solar panel and light the wood stove for your comfort!



Luggage and Transportation:

Travel light: Opt for a backpack for transportation—it’s the key to a good hike. The essentials are all you need.

⚠️ Avoid suitcases—you’ll be on the trail!

A small cart is available as needed in the summer, and a sled in the winter, in the shed right next to the Tyroparc reception area.



Our yurts offer a glamping experience, combining comfort with immersion in nature.



In winter, our team clears snow during cleanups between stays. However, if there’s a gap between two reservations, you may need to clear a little snow upon arrival. We also ask that you clear the snow off the solar panel and light the wood stove as soon as you arrive to ensure your comfort.

Winter at Tyroparc

Experience winter adventure just an hour from Montreal! Tyroparc offers activities for all the family, in a magnificent natural setting:

- Mountain skiing and ski touring to enjoy the snow-covered landscapes.

- Winter hiking & Mega-Tyroliennes for an adrenalin-filled experience suitable for children and adults.

- Winter Via Ferrata combined with hiking or Mega-Tyrolean traverse for thrill-seekers.

- Family package for a unique family experience, with activities suitable for children aged 5 (Mega-Tyrolean traverse) and 10 (Via Ferrata).



Summer at Tyroparc

Take advantage of the summer to discover Tyroparc and its outdoor activities, perfect for families and adventurers:

- Aerial hebertism park - La Cité des Bois, for young and old, in a safe natural setting.

- Mega-Tyrolean traverse and hiking with several routes suitable for all ages.

- Via Ferrata and combined courses for thrills and exploring the forest.

- Climbing on Mont Catherine, a modernised historic site for climbing enthusiasts.

- Family packages for unforgettable adventures, with routes suitable for children aged 5 and over.



Getting Around:

Important: Please arrive before 7:00 p.m. so you can walk safely to your shelter while it's still light out.



Passe-Montagne is easily accessible by car from Montreal or nearby regions. Parking is available near the welcome chalet. Access to the yurt is on foot or via skis/snowshoes in winter, ensuring complete immersion in nature.

★ Firewood for one night; please bring extra firewood for additional nights

★ Propane stove (propane included)

★ Dishes, utensils, French press

★ Mattresses: 4 single

★ No electrical outlets



You’ll need to bring:

★ Drinking water (20 L/night/2 people)

★ Soap and dishcloths

★ Firewood

★ Sleeping bag, pillow

★ Food and condiments

★ Headlamp, appropriate clothing

★ USB cable for charging (via solar power)



Practical information:

★ Outdoor fire pit available, but not cleared of snow from November through April (bring kindling, paper, and a lighter)

★ No internet access in the yurt (connection available near the reception area only)

★ In winter: Be well-equipped for snow (snowshoes or skis required)

★ No electricity or internet (connection available at the reception desk)
