The island of Oléron, nicknamed the Isle of Light, is the largest island on France's Atlantic coast. Renowned for its magnificent sandy beaches and varied natural environment, it's the perfect destination for nature lovers and beach-goers alike.

Fully equipped kitchen: Induction hob, conventional oven, microwave, extractor fan, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, washing machine, Dolce Gusto coffee maker.

Master bedroom: 160 cm double bed.

Spacious and well equipped house. The pool and patio area were lovely: well landscaped with a handy pool house that even had inflatables! There was enough shade if you wanted it. The road was a quiet and private cul de sac but only a few minutes walk to the beach and an easy walk to the local village which was small but pretty and had a lively market. We loved cycling round- there were cycle paths laid out clearly on the roads but also through the neighbouring forest making it a cool and easy way to go to the local beaches. Watch out for low tide though- most of our beaches became unswimable and we had to travel to the north of the island to find better beaches. Also be prepared for mosquitos and ants.
