Saint Suliac rocks

We arrived on the eve of the fête de Saint Suliac, a well organised & not particularly disruptive event held in the port beneath the house wich is situated in a tranquil close. Philippe, our host, was most hospitable & the house very comfortable & well laid out, without being fancy. The weather could not have been better & we loved time spent on the terrace with picturesque views of the estuary, walks along the beach & in the village, trips to the surrounding coast, the markets of St Malo, Cancale etc.A return trip is very possible...Merci Philippe

Immer wieder gerne

Wir waren nun schon das dritte Mal bei Philipp zu Gast – und wie immer war es einfach perfekt! Das Ferienhaus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht, und es fehlt wirklich an nichts. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die bequemen Betten – wir haben fantastisch geschlafen!Die Aussicht ist einfach atemberaubend – man könnte stundenlang nur dastehen und schauen. Auch die Lage ist ideal: Ein Bäcker und ein kleiner Supermarkt sind in nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.Vielen Dank, lieber Philipp, für die erneut tolle Zeit – wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder!

Nice area.

Fantastic area and location. The house is nice on the 1st floor but the living room floor is very worn, bad furniture and very worn kitchen and refrigerator are just in need of replacement. But otherwise a good stay, would like to come again, but not in this house. However, very welcome owner.

Vacances à Saint Suliac

Vue sur la Rance, possibilité de venir avec le chien de nos amis : 2 critères de choix pr notre groupe. Saint Suliac adorable petit village typiquement breton d' où nous avons découvert les plages et villes alentour. Une maison joliment décorée et très bien équipée. Tout est réuni pour être heureux et nous l' avons été !

Gîte très agréable, au calme et avec vue sur la Rance

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans ce gîte à St Suliac. L’accueil des propriétaires est chaleureux. La maison est très propre et bien équipée, conforme à la description. La vue sur la Rance est très appréciable. La plage de St Suliac est accessible à 2 min à pied en contre-bas de la maison, très pratique avec les enfants. Village charmant et bien situé pour un séjour dans la région de St Malo.

Life as a local

Central location with beautiful view of the Rance and all the attendant water activities, a comfortable property that is showing some signs of wear (kitchen is a bit tired and some parts are broken) but has the essentials - a good shower, comfortable beds and lots of hot water. The host was prompt and efficient, Phillipe speaks good English for those that struggle with French (like me) and could not have been any more helpful. As for the village, having been several times it’s easy to slip into life as a local with walks, bars, Boulangerie and great local store (Vival) on your doorstep, as well as a good choice for eating out (Doris or Au Galichon, both worth a look). Breakfast on the terrace, a digestif at sunset - an easy habit to keep! Definitely needs a couple of comfy outdoor chairs for relaxing, and a teapot. Super relaxing spot to use as an exploring base, enthusiastic bell ringers make sure you are up to see the day! Will be back again next Year

Perfect spot for a Brittany holiday

Fabulous house in a superb position on the edge of St Suliac, which is a gorgeous little stone village. The house is very well equipped (the kitchen has lobster shears!), the black leather sofa in the pic has been replaced with a lovely 3 seater blue and white striped squishy sofa. It's all scrupulously clean. The terrace is a sun trap (umbrella provided) and as it was cool when we were there I can say that the heating also works well. You don't have an unimpeded view of the river, but you have a very good view of it. A bird got trapped in the chimney and M Durrand couldn't have been more responsive in sorting it all our. Clos de Bronds is a little 1980s development of stone and stucco cottages on the edge of the village, a path leads down to the quai and the bars/restaurants. WARNING: do not follow GPS or Google Maps to find the place. It will take you through the village. It will try to make you drive the wrong way along one way streets and up pedestrianised lanes. You do not want to drive through the village if you can avoid and NEVER in high summer (think Padstow in August). Aim for Mt Garrot and drive past it towards the village through 2 or 3 chicanes (one will say no entry except for residents but you are a temporary resident!) and then Clos de Bronds is the first road on your left. It's about a 4 minute walk from the house into the village which has a very well stocked shop, boulangerie, bar, and several restaurants. TBH once you arrive you hardly need to leave!

Monsieur Durand ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber, der uns herzlich empfangen und auch wieder verabschiedet hat. Das Haus liegt auf einem Hügel mit Blick auf die Bucht aus fast jedem Zimmer und aus dem Garten. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt. Auch in der Küche ist alles vorhanden. Innerhalb von 5 min erreicht man die 3 Restaurants von Saint-Suliac und auch die Bäckerei und ein kleiner Laden liegen fußläufig erreichbar. Fazit: Schönes Haus in toller Lage.

ruhig gelegenes Haus in schöner Lage

Das Ferienhaus ,in sehr schönerLage, ist gemütlich und kofortabel eingerichtet. Die Küche ist mt vielen nützlichen Geräten ausgestattet ,so dass die hervorragenden Produkte der Umgebung auch angemessen verarbeitet und verköstigt werden können. Auch die Schlafzimmer sind mit Decken und Kissen äusserst gut bestückt. Die geräumige Terasse ,mit fantastischer Sicht , hat einen großen Tisch mit bequemen Stühlen ,hier können die Mahlzeiten wunderbar eingenommen werden. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der freundliche Vermieter ,der jederzeit für uns als Ansprechpartner zur Verfügung stand. Dieses Schöne Ferienhaus können wir nur weiterempfehlen.
