Beautiful well appointed villa

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful villa just a 12 minute walk from the cute town of Sa Pobla. Everything was as described and all very minor problems were dealt with promptly by our very gracious hosts. We really enjoyed the outdoor space, the pool was glorious and my only issue would be the bbq was slightly small for the size of the villa. There are a few animals such as a donkey, geese and a sheep that stayed in an area of the grounds which my son loved!! All areas expect the kitchen and bathrooms had air con which was a god send. The house was well equipped although there was no welcome pack with the basics which would have been appreciated especially arriving late the host did offer to pick us up some basics. Overall this is a stunning villa with the best outdoor space for anyone looking to stay in the more authentic areas of Majorca.

Amazing pool and property!

We loved Sa Pobla. The pool is huge and we had to tear the children away to go to the beach. The photos don't do it justice - it's very spacious both inside and out and was incredibly clean. It could do with a little more cooking equipment but we did end up using the BBQ - which was in itself a huge gas BBQ which we loved. The kids also loved the remote controlled gate and of course the geese and donkey! Very easy to access most parts of the island from here. Thanks for a great stay!

Family holiday

Terrific communication from the owner, easy to find and access the property. This is a lovely clean home from home. It has plenty of air conditioned rooms for us to be together as a family or apart when we wanted space. The property is really private and it was lovely to have the geese, chickens, sheep and quiet little donkey as neighbours. The outside area has a covered area to eat and a nice big pool. The gas fired bbq (or opinion if a traditional one) suited us well for dining al fresco. There are 2 supermarkets close by and a terrific restaurant within walking distance. There is good access to nearby cycling routes and it’s a short car journey to the beach. We had a lovely time and thank Marilen & Gaspar for their help.

Wonderful stay

We had a lovely lovely time staying at Marilen and Gaspar’s villa. Everything about it is perfect - inside is modern and tastefully decorated, the grounds outside are well kept and spacious. It was lovely having a lawn and some swings and a Wendy house for our four year old. The pool is glorious. The villa is right next to farm land and our son loved seeing the sheep and chickens. The farm is tiny though - there is no noise or machinery or anything. It was very peaceful at night. We found the kitchen to be very well stocked - with loads of pans, crockery, glasses etc and a lovely big hob and oven. We tended to eat out at lunchtime and cook at home in the evening as it suited our son. We did go for dinner a couple of times into Sa Pobla which is only 10-15 mins walk away. The main square is very pretty and great for eating outside in a warm evening. We loved exploring the whole island and visited some great beaches, the closest only about 10 mins drive away. Marilen the owner was so friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. All in all it was a brilliant holiday and we’d love to come back.

Beautiful villa in a quiet location

We stayed for a week with our two young children. We all loved the villa! The children really appreciated the toys and decor in their bedroom. A typical day would be to go on a day trip, come back to the villa and cook dinner in the splendid kitchen, and then drive out to a nearby town for ice cream. The Netflix-equipped TV was a bonus. The hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful. 10/10

Beautiful villa in a very quiet countryside location

Stayed here with my husband, 2 young children and parents. Beautiful villa with a lovely pool and garden area. The local town was very authentic, great for culture but not so great for young children who need to eat at 6:30 but you are 15 mins drive to some amazing places. Not sure whether it was just the time of year or the rural setting but there were a lot of flies, obviously this can’t be helped but some some food covers would be helpful and maybe an electric zapper or something as with young kids/food out we couldn’t use the spray all the time. Also we needed some medium bowls for cereal etc and some wine glasses! Overall lovely stay, Marilen and Gunther were very friendly and on hand for anything we needed.

Lovely stay

We travelled as a family of 6 (4 adults and 2 children). The villa was easy to fine with the communications given by the owner prior to arrival. When we arrived the cleaners were just finishing. The villa was lovely with a great pool and a couple of supermarkets nearby. We hadn't planned to eat out as much but as the kitchen wasn't that well equipped we didn't have a choice. We didn't let it spoil our holiday and enjoyed some lovely meals in port alcludia and port Puerto. It was only a 5 min drive to the train station at Sa Pobla and very easy to get to Inca and Palma. It would of been nice to have a change of towels during our 7 day stay and some cleaning products for the bathroom would of been convenient. However the villa was in lovely quiet location close to a few towns (Sa Pobla is very quite town) with helpful owners.

Beautiful and well maintained villa.

Rafal Roig is a beautiful well kept villa in Sa Pobla, conveniently located for the nearby beaches of Alcudia, Pollenca, Can Picafort and Muro. We were particularly impressed with the high standard of all the rooms especially the master bedroom and bathrooms. The air conditioning was very welcome as was the excellent WiFi! We spent most of our time by the lovely pool area, which was clean, tidy,well kept and secure for young families. There were plenty of sunbeds and all day sunshine/ or shade if required. Gaspar introduced himself during the first few days and both he and Marilyn were easily contactable for any queries if needed. We would definitely recommend a stay in this beautiful home from home.

Beautiful spacious Mallorcan style villa surrounded by farmland.

We have just spent 10 days at Rafal Roig, a family of 5 with 3 very energetic boys. Marilen met us on our arrival and gave us a quick tour, I can only say that first impressions where how very spacious the house & garden were. The pictures really don't do this house justice, lovely big rooms and every one was immaculate! Master suite is particulary spacious with really generous en/suite & plenty of storage space. The living room although big was still very cosy in the evening. Outside space and pool was also excellent, few loose tiles around the pool but nothing hazardous! Lovely garden for kids to run around & beautiful old trees to climb. The pool house/kitchen was a real added bonus with excellent bbq with extractor fan, lovely area to sit & eat & enjoy watching the kids in the pool. The place is surrounded by farmland and was really peaceful, there were two very friendly goats which the kids adopted in the field adjacent to the house. There was always lots of birds singing & flying around the gardens, we were awoken each morning by the sound of wood pigeon cooing! In the evening there were sheep who would run into the field adjacent with the bells ringing around their necks & bats would swoop around the garden after dusk. The kids particulary enjoyed the numerous gheekos that visited. The typical Spainish town of Sa Pobla is 2 minutes away by car & could easily be walked to in approx 10 minutes. There we found a variety of small supermarkets with fresh food counters & plenty choice to stock your cupboards. We drove to Alcudia, Pollensa & Can Picafort all approx 20/30 away. Here we found a much better choice of restaurants & shops. Marilen and Gaspar where both available by text or email at all times, we had a few teething problems with the to and outside lights and Marilen was there the very next morning to sort these for us. There are very few English speaking channels available on the television but this wasn't a big issue for us. Air conditioning units in every room but the kitchen and we did cook a good bit so it got a bit in there sometimes!! Overall this is a really lovely house, well looked after & managed attentively but with the ultimate privacy. This house could easily accommodate a larger number of people if extra beds were available for the massive dining/sun lounge ( which we rarely used) or the pool room ( which teenagers would love) We have now visited villas in Majorca 3 times & would definitely choose this villa again.

Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in deze villa. De villa zag er prachtig uit en lag prima gelegen. Het zwembad was heerlijk. De ezel, het schaap en de ganzen waren gezellige buren. Er waren daar alleen wel veel muggen. De supermarkten erg dichtbij en op redelijke rijafstand van diverse leuke stranden. Het contact met Marilen was goed bereikbaar. De vaatwasser deed het niet en dat werd snel opgelost.

Villa molto spaziosa, accogliente e ben curata e pulita. Bello il prato dietro la casa! La piscina è molto grande bella ,la sera, complice il vento un po sporca ma comunque molto suggestiva quando al tramonto si accendono le luci.

Une superbe expérience...

Nous avons adoré la maison qui correspond aux photos. Idéale pour un séjour en famille avec enfants grâce à une super piscine et un jardin permettant aux enfants de jouer librement. Situé au milieu des champs, maison hyper calme, assez proche de villages aux alentours. Propriétaires disponibles et très chaleureux. Arrivée autonome grâce à une boite à clé.

Groot huis met heerlijk zwembad. Contact met eigenaar was prima. Wel auto nodig, geen restaurantjes op loopafstand. Ezel en schaap als buren, echt platteland, veel vliegen. Prima bedden. Foto’s van terras rondom zwembad zijn een beetje oud. Geen grote bbq en geen mooi wit doek meer.maar zou zeker terugkomen heerlijke plek!

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit

Das Haus ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos und der Pool ist in manchen Hotels nicht größer. Wirklich toll. Auch unsere Nachbarn (Esel, Schaf, 4 Gänse, ein Pfauenpaar, welches auch noch Küken bekommen hat als wir da waren) fanden wir auch wunderbar. Gehört haben wir die Tieren höchstens zur Fütterung bzw. den Pfau zwischendrin, was jedoch überhaupt nicht störend war. Die ruhige Lage des Anwesens war für uns richtig toll, da die Insel ja insgesamt auch im Mai/Juni schon recht voll ist und wir so immer unsere Ruheoase hatten. Einen Verbesserungsvorschlag hätten wir: Fliegengitter vor den Fenstern wären wirklich super, da durch die Tiere doch ein sehr hohes Mücken- und Fliegenaufkommen ist. So könnte man einfach besser lüften. Ansonsten hat es uns rundum sehr gut gefallen.

Very pleasant stay

We had a lovely time in the house. Although the weather was not good all the time, that wasn't a problem, because the house is very nice. It's decorated with love and care and there is a great living room where you can enjoy a day at home. Gaspar and Marilen are great hosts. When the bbq stopped working because we had no gas anymore, they immediately brought a new gas tank. They responded very fast at every question we had. So I can recommend this fantastic place to everyone!!
