Rooms are well-appointed, very clean and have tea and coffee-making facilities. Due to the age of the building it is not air conditioned so can get hot on a warm night, although the hotel supplies fans.

40th wedding anniversary

I have always wanted to visit Rye after l heard about it on the radio. I was not disappointed. The Ship Inn staff were very welcoming, the food was lovely and also the atmosphere, you felt that the staff were happy in their work. We had our rather large dog with us, who settled quickly to his different surroundings. Also a sausage treat now and then was welcomed. I would definitely stay there again, also so well placed for accessing the town, only downside is parking, we managed each time to find a space where you could park for free. I would highly recommend a stay at the Ship Inn.

Greeted by a very helpful Nicole, who also took dinner order and dealt with dietary requirements. Rooms modern and clean. You have to pay to park but car park is very close. Location very close to the town centre.

Very positive experience. Staff were welcoming, friendly and made me feel at home from the moment that I walked in. I called beforehand to check on something and they were really helpful. The room was pleasantly decorated, nice big tv, very clean and well appointed, with tea, coffee and bottled water. Central location. Dog friendly establishment. This is somewhere that I would definitely recommend and will return to when I'm the area.
