Te Maiki Retreat is a cosy and relaxing getaway with spectacular views. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and it is just a short walk to the township, which is a great bonus. A perfect spot to unwind - we loved our stay and will definitely be back again.
A beautiful sunset soaking the sky in colour, the kind that makes you slow down and savour the moment.

This place had amazing views & great location, I would recommend this place to people, except I would be telling them that the balcony/deck is quiet dangerous especially for children as balustrade is very low & wonky you wouldn’t want to lean on it & fall as is quiet a drop, also carpet should be replaced with hard flooring as it smells quiet musty! But otherwise a great place 😊

Te Maiki Retreat

We loved Russell and loved staying at Te Maiki Retreat. The accomodation was just what we were looking for and we had a comfortable, enjoyable stay. View from balcony is beautiful. Absolutely would stay again!

Best view

Nice quite place, house is big enough for 4 adults to spend long summer days and relax with best view of sea looking over Pahia.

Great location

Very enjoyable stay. Close enough to the stores and restaurants to walk. Comfortable. Great view. Had some difficulty getting in and reported some concerns but didn’t get a response.

Wonderful View

Stayed here for three nights. What a lovely view. Every evening we sat on the lanai, ate dinner and watched the sunset. The house is a little rough around the edges, but very comfortable. You can't beat the view.

Good Location and a Great View

First of all, the view from the deck was fantastic. The property is at the end of a steep rise so that is something to bear in mind (was not an issue for us). The property is a little tired around the edges but we were extremely comfortable and had the best nights' sleep for ages. We'll miss that view!

Nice view (covered by overgrown trees) but that’s about it

The house was very average and wreaked of mustiness on arrival. Probably due to the bad condensation issue (we mopped windows in the mornings!) and years of unwashed curtains and carpets? That should be addressed. Broken furniture and shoddy decking did little to impress outside and the trees were overgrown and ruining what could have been a spectacular view. The knives in the kitchen were very blunt and pretty unusable and need replacing. It’s those little things that make a difference to guests. Overall a tired accomodation that could do with some love to get it ‘guest ready’ again. We appreciated the slightly earlier check in time though.
