About this property

Cozy seaview studio with 2 terraces 5m from the beach - Casa ArteVida

Welcome to Casa ArteVida: The soul of the Costa Brava in the heart of Alt Empordà 🌊✨

There are places that simply host you, and others that transport you. Casa ArteVida is not just a rental apartment; it is our home.

Nestled within a villa full of character—featuring only four residences—each apartment all with seaview and boasts its own private terrace.
With no overlooking neighbors or interference, every space has been designed to guarantee absolute privacy and offer you a total immersion in our land.
Here, we pay tribute to the Alt Empordà: through authentic structural details and the region's typical trees and flowers that surround the property.
Unlike anonymous, standard accommodations, staying here means experiencing the true identity of the Costa Brava.

A balcony over the Mediterranean: The soul of Calamares Studio 🏠✨

Not just a simple holiday rental, but a home lovingly designed to be your sanctuary. This is a place where every detail has been carefully chosen to create a cozy and warm atmosphere, ensuring you feel immediately at home from the moment you step inside.

Your living space: between comfort and light 🛋️☀️

Perched 60 meters above sea level and bathed in southern sunlight, this sea-view studio is a haven of peace perfectly equipped to host up to 3 people. The sleeping area consists of a spacious double bed (150x200) and a cozy sofa bed (90 cm), ideal for comfortably accommodating a child or an additional adult. To us, a true home must be functional: you will have a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, and several coffee machines for connoisseurs) to prepare your meals like a chef.

Two private terraces, two atmospheres 🍷🌅

The true luxury of Calamares Studio lies in its two entirely private outdoor spaces.
The large patio off the living room: The dream spot for breakfasts facing the waking sea or for a convivial barbecue on the griddle under the stars.

The upper solarium: An exclusive terrace equipped with sun loungers, perfect for sunbathing in total privacy or contemplating spectacular sunsets over the Gulf of Roses with a drink in hand.

The joy of exploring on foot 🚶‍♂️🏖️

Forget the stress of traffic and parking; one of the greatest pleasures of your stay will be leaving your car keys on the table and enjoying the freedom to do everything on foot. Everything is accessible via a short, pleasant 5-minute stroll that leads you to the stunning Canyelles Petites beach. There, life flows peacefully among excellent seafood restaurants, cozy breakfast cafés, and perfectly equipped small supermarkets. You can spend entire days between a swim and an aperitif without ever touching your car keys 🚗❌. For walking enthusiasts, a breathtaking panoramic path along the cliffs will lead you to Almadrava beach and inside the Cap de Creus Natural Park in just 15 minutes.

Absolute comfort in every season ❄️🔥

Whether you visit for the summer heat or the mild winter months, the house is fully air-conditioned and heated. You will also enjoy Wi-Fi, television with Spanish and satellite channels, and a complete shared laundry room (washing machine, dryer).

At Calamares Studio, nothing is left to chance: linens and towels await you, and space for free parking is easy and free right next to the property. All that’s missing is you—bring only your desire to disconnect and let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of the Costa Brava. We look forward to welcoming you for an unforgettable holiday. 🥂✨

Amazing place!

Pamela's place was really great! The view is amazing. It is only a 5 min walking from the beach and 5min drive from the center of town, and Pamela is so sweet and helpful. Any question I had, she answered immediately. I would definitely stay here again if I was back in Roses. If you're looking for a relaxing place outside of the bustle of the town, it is perfect. The apartment is really well equipped and clean and it was perfect for a nice quiet Holiday.

A fantastic place with amazing seaview just few minutes from the beach

Pamela’s flat was amazing! The photos can’t even do justice to how beautiful the view really is. Pamela was super sweet and easy to communicate with. Within 10 minutes (drive/walk) there were several beaches with clear blue water and rocky coastline and it was warm enough to swim in October. It is close to town, but also feels very remote and private like you are away from any hustle bustle. Perfect place for a relaxing trip!

Well equipped and maintained for a studio

Parking was available but not near enough to accommodation, first come first served, and alongside bins where unwanted furniture was left. Also it was under a steep hillside, subject to soil and rock fall in bad weather. The mattress protector, with rubber content made it hard to keep cool enough to sleep. Apart from those two grumbles, we found the accommodation very well supplied with beautiful crockery, very good cutlery (though we could have done with a garlic press..) And a constant supply of hot water. The property is very well maintained and the owner was available to answer any queries immediately, which we appreciated.

Clueless in Costa Brava

Nice little studio in good location compared to value of surrounding properties. Although we were coming from VRBO's in both Barcelona and Madrid, as North Americans we had problems with appliances. The induction stove top shut down on us, apparently due to overheating, but we only had 2 burners on medium--cooking a pot of pasta shouldn't be that difficult. There was a periodic, maddening "beep" from somewhere in the kitchen we never could locate (it eventually would stop). Host provided video instructions to re-light the hot water heater, but when it went out, that wasn't the problem (the gas was turned off elsewhere). Likewise video on how to use the washing machine was only for one of the units, the other was in Pan-Euro logo-speak and indecipherable. This property would benefit from a Guest Manual like our previous two properties had.

Perfect apartment! Great location, great views, terrific hosts!

We had a perfect three days in this lovely apartment. Enjoyed walking down to the gorgeous beach each morning and evening, cooking in the very well equipped kitchen, and eating on the upstairs terrace. Pamela has done a terrific job decorating and equipping the apartment! Very comfortable, and the air-conditioning was most appreciated on the hot days we were there. Pamela is very warm and helpful with recommendations and information. I would recommend this apartment highly to any single or couple wanting to visit the area.
