Staff was wonderful, breakfast was OK; the rooms desperately need updating. Rusted windows, cheap rollup blinds that have seen better days and cheap plastic shower doors that barely hold up. website pictures have definitely been enhanced. Location is convenient but on the back alley of a nice area.

The top top location within 20-25 min walk to every important places and attractions. It is right in the district I where you still can find local authentic restaurants and trattorias! If you do not expect too much from an old 3 star hotel and use it only to sleep at - then you will feel the real Rome vibes around!!

Great stay at hotel Grifo. We stayed in the separate building which is right around the corner from the main building. No elevator just a heads up. The young woman at the front desk was extremely helpful had lots of recommendations and helped us get around. Collusion was only about a 5 minute walk. To get to the Vatican you just walked 15 min hopped on the A line train and walked another 10 minutes. Super easy. If you stay in the separate building they ask you to leave your key when you go out and come back to reception to get it so they can clean your room. We opted to not have our room clean and kept our key. Overall great location and we were happy with our stay.

Staff was super friendly, kind and helpful. Location was very convenient with many great restaurants blocks away. Easy walk to Colliseum. Doable walk to Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Piazza Novona. Wasy taxi ride to Vatican. Room was small and bathroom was extra small but we weren't thwre to stay in the room. It served it’s purpose to give us a good rest. The bed was comfortable and I'm usually very picky about mattress comfort.

We were very happy with this hotel. I arranged ahead of time for the hotel to send a driver to the airport. He was waiting for us when we arrived. I also had them arrange a driver to the cruise terminal. We stayed in the Annex Building double room called Boschetto. They had a small elevator to that floor for the bags. We walked up and down after the bags were in the room. The room was small but we only used the room to sleep, too many sites to see in Rome. The room also had air conditioning. The Monti area seemed very safe and there are lots of restaurants to pick from. I would stay at Hotel Grifo again.

They staff was amazing. Rooms and bathroom are a little small. The elevator was fit for two. Breakfast was great for the small hotel. The biggest highlight was the staff being out of this world. We decided to stay in Naples for the convenience of being close to the train station as we planned to visit Sorrento, Pompei and Baiano. This hotel is literally in front of the Garibaldi Train Station which facilited our travels. Naples itself is gritty and a bit run down but we had the best pizza! The hotel is sparkling clean and it has been remodeled recently. The rooms are bigger than we we used to in comparison to Rome and although there is no 24 hours desk service, they made us feel super welcome and gave us a lot of ideas on what to do. Sadly we missed breakfast as we were gone early in the morning. 10 out 10 for cleanliness and hospitality! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Massimo!
