Happy new year!! It was ok. Its on trastevere avenue, so its a little noisy. Its a small apartment. If you want a hotel this is not for you! It did work fine to me. I paid 45$ for Airport shuttle at 6am from trastevere to T3 Fiumicino.

Thumbs up in Trastevere

We chose to spend a couple of nights in Trastevere following our flights from the US. The Dulcis was very convenient for wandering in Trastevere and a easy walk to other Roman sights. The room was comfortable and quiet. No view as we looked out over the inner courtyard, but very quiet. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom sufficiently large. All very clean. They gave us coupons for a continental breakfast at a nearby cafe. Everyone who worked there was helpful and pleasant.

Fabulous apart from the tram :(

Everything about this hotel is amazing, from the service at the front door to the in room amenities, it was all perfect. The big thing that let my stay down was that I didn’t get any sleep! The room I stayed in is right next to the tram and you can feel the vibrations every time it goes past. Between that and the noise it was difficult to sleep even for a few hours. Obviously this is not within the hotels control and everything that was in their control was amazing. If you can sleep through anything this would be a great place to stay!

Five star service on a budget

This property is located on Viale Trastevere near the heart of town. The interaction with Alberto was amazing and he was accommodating. He had very useful information on the surrounding restaurants and bars in the area. I give this location five stars....

Great BnB in a fantastic location + great service

Great BnB /hotel! Alberto was very helpful from getting us check-in early to giving us great recommendations about Rome. The BnB is a 4 room (beautiful rooms) spot in Trastevere. Great location with amazing restaurants and bars around and good public transport very close by! Highly recommend it

Gem of a hotel with great transport links

Had great transport links. Got a weekly travel card for €24 and able to jump on buses, trams and metro. 2 tram stops outside taking you 5 mins walk from the Pantheon. Or the other tram goes straight to the Coliseum which also links with the metro. Happy with the apartment as it was split into 4 rooms with a communal living space. Room was big enough anyway and on suite was available. For the price this was a great little find. Rooms cleaned down daily by our host Alberto who spoke very good English and was there daily from 10am - 2pm. Very happy

No breakfast even when booked

I was disappointed with the room. The door difficult to open and closed. The Shower head was broken. The room was too noisy as it is very close to the room. Tramps and road noise all night. The most disappointed thing was that we were not provided with breakfast that we had already paid for. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone. I will go back to the hotel that i stay last year.

Not a B and B!

Although Dulcis in Fundo is listed as a B and B it really is not! There is no breakfast despite being paid for and a sign on arrival saying "sorry no breakfast but enjoy the coffee". After the first day there was not even any coffee. After speaking with the owner on arrival breakfast was arranged for our 2nd day, however this consisted of Brioche, honey, jam, chocolate spread and crackers. The 3rd day there was not even half of this stuff and by the last day there was only a small, packaged croissant available with chocolate spread. This is unacceptable for a place which advertises itself as being a 'B and B' and when given the package room choices when booking I specifically selected breakfast included and was asked to provide information regarding dietary requirements. The room itself was pleasant enough and the cleaner came in every day (the only member of staff we saw throughout our stay ) however we have come back home and discovered insect/flea bites all over our arms and legs. Whilst we cannot 100% say they came from Dulcis in Fundo we do highly suspect that is where they are from due to the positioning of the bites. Stay here at your peril!

Noisy and unstaffed

Central and clean, but very very noisy because of street traffic. Not having air condition in the b&B, windows had to be kept open, making the noise even louder. No mini-fridge in room. Minuscule sink in bathroom. No staff around (seen someone just at time of check-in). TV needed tuning, but no one there to ask

The location is Good really close to trastevere downtown, the rooms are pretty clean but our bed was not comfortable. the place is not quite because of the really close tram stop. Friendly check-in even if was by skype. i may back but for a confy bed!

Accueil très chaleureux par notre hôte qui a pris le temps de nous sortir une carte pour nous montrer les environs et les endroits à visiter. La chambre est très jolie, spacieuse et le lit confortable. On nous avait laissé des gâteries, de l'eau et des jus. Alberto est facilement accessible et répond très rapidement via Wat's app. Je recommande fortement.

Rengøring og dialog med udlejeren i top. Massiv støj fra gaden og ikke mindst sporvogn- sengen vibrerede voldsomt hver gang den kørte forbi hvilket den gjorde mange gange i løbet af en time - også om natten. Møbler og gulve var slidte - og dervar utroligt lydt mellem værelserne og fra gangen. Endvidere var det ikke tydeligt ved bestilling at det var et bed and breakfast- vi havde bestilt i den tro det var et hotel. Morgenmaden bestod således også af noget helt andet end forventet , nemlig en kop kaffe og en kage-croissant. Aircondition virkede ikke. Det var heller ikke tydeligt at der skulle betales personskat på 7euro pr nat ved afrejse- det var ærgerligt at det ikke var tydeligt oplyst forinden. Men høflig og venlig vært som svarede hurtigt på de henvendelser vi havde.

The tram is very noisy and hard to get a proper night sleep. At least bring earplugs Otherwise fine - good location. The breakfast is a ( very good) croissant and cup of coffee. If you don't like coffee you need to pay supplement to get a glass of e.g. Juice.
