We loved Tannehof and felt at home there. Charming touches throughout our small apartment within the home. Lovely hostess. Wonderful breakfast. And the location is beautiful. Hope to return.

Nice little hotel in the Austrian countryside. Lots of great outdoor features like seating, a bonfire, and a playground for kids. You couldn’t ask for a better view! The staff were very helpful and breakfast was delicious!

Loved the hotel, it was a bit dark at times - the lights above the cooker didn’t seem to work. Thought the cycling theme was great - reminded me of watching all the Olympics velodrome action.

We loved our stay at this property. It was tranquil with a countryside feel, and we enjoyed hearing the creek next to our room which made it very peaceful. You can see sheep, alpacas, cows and bunnies (the hotel keeps cute bunnies in the backyard). The staff are very friendly. Breakfast was lovely and there were a variety of options. I really enjoyed the fresh fruit and soft pretzels. The self-serve refrigerator is convenient. If they served dinner, it would be perfect because restaurants are all back in town. Our room was clean and beds were comfy. The mini fridge and microwave in our room was great, and they are pet friendly. I recommend getting groceries in town at Eurospar beforehand because there is nothing nearby. The hotel is only 30 minutes from Neuschwanstein and 30 minutes to the beautiful Am Plansee and Linderhof Palace.

Awesome!!

Amazing views and places around. Victoria made late check in super easy. Very Clean and quiet!! I would like to stay longer and make it like a retreat trip 😁. You can get your own food and prepare it right there.

A Lovely Home from Home

I really liked this place. The moment you stepped through the front door you felt at home. We received a very warm and helpful welcome and the decor in the public areas was homely and inviting. Room excellent with everything you need including a small fully functioning kitchenette. Downstairs an honour bar system operates, you just take what wines, beers or soft drinks you want from the fridges and write it down on a piece of paper. We didn't use it but it was just nice to see it. Set in a lovely quiet area of green hills with an alpine backdrop in our short, two night stay was a pleasure.

Amazing views, comfortable apartment

This hotel was absolutely wonderful—our family apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had strong WiFi and terrific views. The location was perfect for visiting the Bavarian royal castles, but we also really enjoyed hiking up to the ruins of Ehrenberg Castle, which is very close by. There are several grocery stores in town and the kitchen was quite adequate (though there is no oven or toaster oven, so we had to borrow the hotel’s oven to make some garlic bread one night.

Gorgeous views, comfortable apartment

My kids‘ decided this was their favorite hotel ever (and they’ve stayed in quite a few). The location is unparalleled in terms of views and access to castles old and new; the family apartment was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed; outside, there were bunnies and a lawnmower robot and bikes for rent; the WiFi was strong, there was plenty of hot water, and our apartment was very quiet and private. We spent two nights there and would have liked to have stayed for a week at least.

Good option but a bit further away

Staff were nice & helpful. They were very willing to answer questions & give some guidance. Room was good. Location was a bit further out (not horribly far but perhaps not the most convenient) - car is definitely recommended. Breakfast was not included in price. No AC so had to keep the window open & it was a bit louder (not extremely loud) outside with people talking & such at the beginning of the night.
