The hotel was incredibly nice! I felt the bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I have ever felt at a hotel before. We were here for our honeymoon, and the staff brought us some gorgeous flowers with a kind note! It was a gesture that stands out. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the area!

Quick night to relax

Room was cosy, it was easy to schedule a massage (which was very relaxing), at dinner service was very friendly (server spoke English and explained the menu) and the food was very enjoyable. We went for one night to relax and left the next morning feeling more relaxed.

Lovely Hotel on Lake Konstanz

Beautiful hotel, exceptional facilities. Unfortunately no views to speak of and situated in a rural / residential suburb, but definitely worth a visit. Only problem was that the restaurant did not offer an English menu and on the evening we visited they where pretty busy and unable to help translate, staff where very helpful after things quietened down however.

Beautifully tended: me and the flowers

Our weekend stay was a good one. Grounds beautifully kept. Spa's location was inconvenient, but facilities were top drawer. Restaurant all booked for dinner, so we never ate there. Breakfast, though, was complete and impeccably served. Location is central. Desk staff very helpful. What we really needed was air conditioning one night or much lighter duvet.

Hotel staff friendly and helpful / breakfast varied selection buffet / Decor modern / Bedrooms unfortunately let this hotel down very badly / standard room small with bed side on to wall so could not access the bed from both sides / first time I've had to climb over husband to get out of bed in a hotel. We changed rooms after the first night because as well as being side on to wall the headboard end had only a low shelf unit, no headboard so when sat up to read nothing to lean back on. Friends were lucky enough to get an upgrade as hotel was fully booked. Their room was hardly superior just what I would expect in a standard room at the prices charged.

Fabulous breakfast and comfort.

Charming but noisy and hot

This hotel has a lot going for it - a super location, efficient service and friendly staff, plus the rooms are well-appointed and spotlessly clean. However, we each had rooms overhead the restaurant terrace which meant that we had to choose between a hot room with the windows shut or a noisy room with the windows open! Also (and unusually for German hotels), the floors were wooden as opposed to concrete - which meant we could hear people creaking around all night. We aren't fussy eaters or tight fisted gits, but we found the restaurant menu to be limited, expensive and a trifle pretentious. We instead opted for the fabulous eaterie across the road which had more atmosphere, an earthier menu and keener prices. Similarly, the bakery next door does a very good morning coffee and pastries! As with many boutique hotels, we felt that this was perhaps a case of "style over substance".

A very chic and tastefully decorated hotel, spacious comfortable room, friendly polite staff. Excellent breakfast. The only drawback is that Richenau is a little isolated, thre were not many places you could walk out to in the evening. Of course this very feature may be attractive to other guests.

Despite the quaint island setting, the hotel accommodations were modern and well kept, the staff was friendly, there was a minor charge for internet access, the restaurant was good and served a marvelous breakfast.

Smallest bathroom in the world?

I was given a room with a bathroom so small that a hand towel covered more than half the floor. The sink was one of those you find in a downstairs toilet, just big enough to wash your hands, and with no plug. It was totally unacceptable and I would have been very upset if I had booked a week's holiday there. Having said that, the staff were very attentive and the restaurant served good, if overpriced, food. Breakfast was excellent.

Repos à Reichenau

Avec mon épouse, nous avons essayé de nous rappeler quelle était la combientième fois où nous venions à l’hôtel Ganter. Quoi qu’il en soit, c’est à chaque fois un plaisir de venir prendre quelques jours pour être au calme et s’y reposer. Nous profitons à chaque fois des installations du spa, et du très bon buffet de petit déjeuner. Le parking est facilement accessible. Constance n’est qu’à quelques minutes, avec de nombreuses occasions de shopping. Et l’île de Reichenau est propice pour des balades. Et en poussant un petit peu, direction la Suisse.

Die Zimmer sind sehr schön. Im Badezimmer fehlten mir so Sachen wie Watterondellen, Wattestäbchen. Etwas Kleines zum Naschen im Zimmer würde die Zeit bis zum Abendessen überbrücken.

Bel hôtel au calme!! Chambre spacieuse et lumineuse. Bon petit déjeuner copieux, mais cher. Petit bémol, nous sommes venus avec un bébé, avons demandé un lit bébé. Il n’y en avait pas à notre arrivée. Nous avons du redemander pour qu’il soit installé. Et nous avions une chambre au 1er étage avec seulement des escaliers… pas top!
