Was a little inconvenient because of the renovating my room was on the other side had to walk all the way around but it was a nice view room with a balcony

Love the location on the Bay. 1 block to restaurants and bars,2 blocks to beach. Kayak rental available. Pretty grounds with a gazebo and pier. However, front desk people wererude and not helpful when I asked about charges. Also they wanted a $75 fee to check in 1 hour early. Now dog friendly. I love dogs but the one in the room next to me barked all night. Have been staying here for the last 5 summers but can see things slowly going downhill. Honestly not sure if i will go back next summer

Keep giving this place a chance...

We arrived early hoping our room would be available. It was...$55 for early check-in. You're kidding, right?! Then we were advised there is now a $16 PER NIGHT parking fee for guests (I do not recall seeing that when I made the reservation).What?! We're guests for God's sake! And over 65! Was told per NEW OWNERS, again? No screens on sliders (told they only had 5 in the whole motel), same rattling a/c units from at least 30 years ago, same refrigerator from at least 30 years ago. They were in the room, not working, but still there. They had a mini fridge plugged in under the coat rack. Toilet was so low, I took a picture of our small, stand-up cooler and placed it beside it for comparison. Recently having knee surgery, tough to do what one needs to do on this low toilet. Husband over 6'. Also, we were on the 3rd (top) floor. Not easy to get up there either, but that was my fault when I made the reservation, I guess, not noting the 3rd floor. Toaster now gone, cheap coffee maker in the room, coffee in the lobby is terrible ("New" machine), had silverware...4 knives and 1 spoon. Dishwashing liquid, but two towels and no washcloth, had to use a paper towel. I keep giving them a chance, year after year. But instead of improvement, I only see the condition of the rooms getting worse, not better. And... although the view is what kept us coming back, the bay is covered with rental kayaks. Such a shame. This was our little diamond in the rough, but it is quickly turning to coal :(

This property has a lot of potential since it’s right in the heart of Dewey, faces the bay on an attractive cove, and is a short walk to the beach. Unfortunately it is poorly run and not kept up. We were among several customers whose check in was significantly delayed because the rooms were not clean. No one at the front desk seemed to care, shrugging it off like it was par for the course. Worse, than the delay was the broken down, rattling AC system. It made such a horrible racket that we had to turn it off in order to sleep. This of course meant foregoing AC on a hot night. Consequently no one got much sleep. When I reported the problem to the front desk, the response was “yeah, those need to be replaced”. It astounds me that we spent over $350 a night for this place. I do not recommend it.

The location of this hotel is perfect! It is close to the beach, close to restaurants, the people are very kind and respectful. There is a parking fee but it’s worth it because my car was close to our room and safe. I highly recommend it if you have a family due to the pool access, the lake where you can fish and kayak, or go on a relaxed walk. There is a pet fee which I did think it was a bit overpriced but if you love your pets it’s priceless right? My kids and I got to see the sun set and sunrise which was absolutely breathtaking . The only thing was the wait to get our room. I recommend to go with a mindset of waiting for at least 30 minutes to get checked in. Other than that, the place was absolutely perfect!

Second stay because i enjoyed the bay view. The first stay No rooms were available at check in and of course they said that some staff had called in. Unfortunately they said the same thing this time. This property has a problem with having their rooms available at check in. They also added parking fees. The manager was not available for the entire 5 day stay and no one could contact her. Extreme lack of professionalism. The staff left a message on her phone asking if my parking could be comped for a day due to having to just sit around waiting for a room and she just never responded. Won’t stay here again. More of a motel than a hotel in service and quality.

Great for adults and kid friendly as well. Hotel rooms need to be updated but it’s okay for sleeping. Pool it’s great for kids as it is for adults. Stuff super nice. Great location.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. The views of the bay from our patio was exquisite but I wish they had high-top chairs to see above the patio rail. The room was in need of renovation, especially the kitchenette area.
