Today, this ancient art form is perpetuated thanks to the activity of schools, workshops and numerous events spread throughout the year, such as the biennial RavennaMosaico, the First International Festival of Contemporary Mosaic.

The rich programme of Ravenna Festival, the exhibitions of MAR (City Art Museum), its archaeological sites and the events organized every year for poet Dante Alighieri are just some examples of the importance of Ravenna as a new capital of art and culture.
