Beautiful Views
The beach & views were very beautiful. The landscaping and the setting is beautiful. Some parts of the resort are rundown and need maintenance.The restaurant had good food, especially the woodfired pizza. Prices were similar to the US. There is a language barrier if you don't t speak Spanish. The waterpark is nice however, you have to pay per person for the week. Unfortunately, for my daughter, the waterpark is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and only from 11 AM to 1 PM and then from 3 PM to 5 PM. The beach is Rocky, we tried walking out into the water from the shore and we got sea urchin needles in our feet. There is a pier with steps into a sandy area further away from the rocky beach. My daughter didn't like the steps because they were slimy from the ocean. We like to make drinks and take them & and snacks to the beach but they have a strict no cooler policy. We got tired of being yelled at for having a cooler. We even got reproved for having a cooler when we were not at the beach. We started taking our drinks and snacks in a backpack. The resort had no Wi-Fi. We were told that they were waiting for replacement parts from China & were having difficulty getting them. The owner of our condos had Wi-Fi from Verizon with very limited data, couldn't stream, it was slow, often disconnected, but we had email & web browsing. We originally reserved a two bedroom condo but due to a scheduling error it wasn’t available that week so they offered to substitute 2 studio rooms that were next-door to each other. We accepted this offer. However we didn't realize that the studio did not have laundry. We packed lightly because we were planning on doing laundry there. No laundry on site so I washed clothes in the sink. Both rooms had good air-conditioning, good shower and good kitchen, basic supplies in the kitchen, pots, pans etc. 1st unit, sliding glass doors to the balcony did not lock, it has two small refrigerators however, one did not work at all, the other barely worked, would not keep the ice frozen in the freezer. The toilet was constantly running, the screen to the balcony was tore out, one of the barstools was broken and the room was stinky when we arrived. My wife mopped the unit with Fabuloso, that helped, but the source was dirty bed linens left in the closet. The bottom trundel bed wasn't changed, sheets filled with sand. TV didnt work in the other room. I don't want maintenance in my room on my vacation, I want it right when I arrive
