The rooms was spacious, clean, up-to-date, and modern being that it had just opened the staff was more than helpful.. few staff that I can remember Julio. Bartender Raphael Bartender Maria kept my drinks on full one of the best bartenders that I had, would definitely visit that resort

Our check in took longer than it should. We booked two rooms and staff couldn’t find both reservations. Requested to be near each other months before check in. We ended up staying on opposite ends of the floor. One of our rooms smelt of mildew or must and then we were moved to a different building all together facing a fence. Keep in mind this was a soft opening so there should have been rooms that had a better view.

To say I am very disappointed is an extreme understatement. My wife and I booked our stay with the Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana for our honeymoon in hopes of relaxation and enjoying a very casual dining experience at the as advertised food hall buffet they have in their listing. Upon arrival, we come to find this is not open and our only option is to have sit down dinners every night and have to dress up. After planning a 2 year wedding, we just wanted a very casual experience all around to relax and not have to worry. The first night, we try ordering room service as we were tired and didn’t want the hassle of dressing up for dinner. 2 hours, no show and to boot a $10 fee for room service? Especially being booked in the “Vantage Club” suites, we should not incur a service fee especially when we are very generous in tipping staff. This resort has excellent bar staff and activities teams but a lot of work is needed to get it to be a “5 Star Resort” like it’s advertised. If you open, even after delaying and not telling people, that should mean you’re 100% open and if you not, say that. Hyatt will have to work extremely hard to bring us back as customers as they completely missed the mark in meeting our expectations and handling our displeasure when notified it. Truly will think twice in the future before booking with Hyatt.
