I booked for 9 people, 2 families, 4 adults and 5 kids. They provided 3 rooms, fitting 1 or 2 adults per room. Not the best idea if the family wanta to stay together. The rooms were clean, but very minimalistic and tiny. Reception was servicing french speaking guests first, then the rest. One of the rooms was not prepared for our arrival. I would never come back as a family, however i might stay as a single person.

The door didn't close without us slamming it, some staff were very friendly but others were quite rude and didn't tell us when the breakfast buffet moved next door until we came downstairs and reception was locked so we knocked until someone answered. The area around the hotel is lovely but the hotel itself isn't the best. It's old, with black mold in the shower railing, orange soap scum staining the curtain and poor ventilation, even worse AC. Says the soap etc is included but provided only one hand soap which was poorly functioning as the bag inside the dispenser was broken. If you like lizards we did see one outside though, very cute.

Absolutely disgusting all round

It was absolutely disgusting! We had to leave the room after 10 minutes as it was infested with mosquitoes; covered in bites! No offer alt room or apology. Had to move, & pay more, to another hotel. Asked for a refund told one couldn’t be given & have to email. Email keeps bouncing back can’t not make contact. Have tried to complain via Hotels.com. Getting no where and no response. Hotel needs closing and refurbing. Staff need training and Hotels.com need to have a better complaint system. VERY UNHAPPY

The property is basic but ok for a cheap night away. It is about 4 miles into La Rochelle Center so need a car. We only had one problem as the bathroom door was difficult to slide across.

Budget overnight stop. Basic but cheap. For 40€ for two including breakfast it was fair value for money. Building is very tired but room was warm and clean enough. Shower was very small indeed but hot water.

A very economic choice

The hotel is not new, small rooms and window, a little of light. Very economic choice, go for it if there are no other alternatives. A free parking is a plus. Close to commercial area, you can go for dinner there.

Low cost overnight stop over.

Looked for a cheap overnight stay and at 34 euro it was very good value. Hotel has an unmanned reception, but with a prebooked reservation, booking in was easily achieved. The room was clean enough for a 1 star hotel (Probably better than expected!). The Duvet had seen better days, but the sheets etc were nice and clean. Not too noisy but close to the N11. The area around the hotel was a bit grim, but the grass and parking area was well kept. We were off before breakfast, so can't comment on that. If you want low cost and no frills, excellent value for money.

Low cost motel 10 minutes from La Rochelle airport

I needed to stay close to the airport for an early take off the next morning, thats exactly what Premeire Classe motels are for. The room was large as was the shower\wc area. The bed had two bedside lamps attached to the wall. When turned off there was a very bright flickering neon, part of the on-off switch. Really annoying as I am a light sleeper. Slightly noisy as it is very close to a main road. It was not the easiest to find and there was no food outlets within walking distance although there are lots a five-minute drive away.

Checking in was shambolic. I arrived about 4.30pm and apparently only automatic check-in is available then. However the machine first wanted to charge me again for the room although I'd paid in advance. Then it rejected me. Eventually reception opened with a person at 5pm however he couldn't cope with the fact that I had already paid and had no idea how to check me in under those circumstances. It took about 20 minutes before he gave up & just checked me in.
