1. Location is ideal - right in the center of Grace Bay, and not far from anything. The staff at the building are all very courteous and friendly (like the rest of Provo).
2. The two big things (for us) in the unit which we wished worked were the fans and window screens. The fans, except in the living room, are stuck on low speed. The screens, to the porches, are all gone which makes it less than ideal to open the windows and enjoy the winds without the bugs. The other thing that we did was to help lessen the morning light in the bedrooms, thus extending more shut-eye time was some homemade engineering was to hang towels across the bedroom windows where possible, as there were NO curtains. If you enjoy getting up early mornings, in particular before the Spring daylight savings time (early early morning sun), this will not be an issue.
3. The owner, despite being based in Europe, was EXTREMELY responsive to communication. THANK YOU, Fio.
4. Catherine, our local contact - Well, I can’t say enough good things about her…..extremely responsive, resourceful, helpful and courteous.
5. We had Air conditioning, hot water, and other pertinent essentials all worked very well for us.
We’ve stayed at Villa Renaissance twice, and may look for alternatives next time….like a standalone house. Growing up in the USVI, I find Provo such a nice island and reminiscent of the golden days of USVI pre-Hugo.
