We were very disappointed with our recent stay, for numerous reasons. To be fair, the host was responsive in his communication prior to and during the stay. Said it would be an "adventure" to get to the property itself (which it was). He also tried to resolve our primary issue - internet service. We discovered upon checking in that the internet service wasn't working, which we immediately told him. He contacted the provider next day and was told that it was working now, and asked us to verify. Still not working...upon which he then told us that a technician couldn't come out until 3 days later - the day before we checked out. As business owners we needed to get some work done online each day, and we like to watch Netflix at night, so not having internet service was unacceptable. The day before arrival we were told the dishwasher wasn't working. We didn't know that A/C was only in the main room, not the bedroom - opposite side of the cabin. The provided fan didn't have a knob to turn it on, therefore useless during a hot week in early July. The bathroom smelled, and the shower curtain had pinkish mold along the bottom edges. The floor was sloped very noticeably too. We left after staying two nights and checked into a hotel 15 minutes further away. We felt a full refund was deserved but requested a credit for remaining 3 nights, which he didn't feel we were entitled to. After nearly two weeks, Vrbo made up the difference between his offer and 3-night amount...can't recommend!
