Great location

Loved the property, in the city without feeling like youre in the city. Also close to the airport and other attractions. Good communication with the owners. We wished we could have stayed longer!

We love love love the swings

Thanksgiving treat

We stayed at the Owl’s Nest over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The kitchen had everything needed to enjoy a meal…and the place is very peaceful and relaxing and also close to all that Portland has to offer. Would happily stay here again.

Owls Nest nirvana!

Absolutely wonderful property and some of the nicest and most gracious hosts that we have met in Billy and Carol in our many years of "VRBOing". They have thought of their visitors every need, and the nice pictures at the website truly match the natural beauty of the property. Top of the line, and we would love to return someday!

Great stay at Owls Nest

We had a great stay at the Owls Nest. Billy and Carol have thought of everything. The outdoor activities were so fun. Especially loved the corn hole, darts and swings over the woods. The house is in an easy location for getting to Portland and the Columbia River Gorge. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Carol and Billy Have Thought of the Traveler's Experience

Billy and Carol, hosts of the Owl's Nest, have done so. Bagels, cream cheese, eggs, spaghetti noodles and sauce in the apartment for those who may be too tired after day's driving to go out for food! Carol's remarkable artistic flourishes add character and interest to the rooms. The outside deck, tables and furniture were very clean for a building on the edge of a greenspace, with multiple places to enjoy meals and coffee while watching the wildlife. The ravine setting was beautiful with multiple places to sit and enjoy the scenery. Unobtrusive labels made it easy to work in the space, identifying where the kitchen's trash and recycling bins are. There were coat hooks near both entrances, outside the bath, and in the bedrooms. Also plenty of space for all a traveler's stuff. Yes, you will hear footsteps above you on occasion, overall it was very quiet and peaceful. One quibble with the Evolve service that confirmed the reservation. We wrote twice with a specific request and never received a communication acknowledging request. However, our request was honored. Communication with Billy and Carol was very prompt and pleasant. These hosts have really thought of everything!

Super charming and clean!

Lots of nice little touches which go above and beyond what is normally expected. Hot tub was hot and very clean! Very comfortable, close to everything in Portland and yet you feel as if you are in the country.

Cozy, comfortable, refreshing and playful

The Owl’s Nest is uniquely set in an Oregon forest while still easily accessible in Portland. We lived in Portland for 15 years and moved away from the busy hustle. We’re visiting and the nest offered perfect respite from all we moved from while still being close enough to visit dear friends. The forest, ferns, and wildlife along with the hot tub, deck, and fire pit helped us all play and relax. The home is cozy and comfortable and sparkly clean. The hosts’ hospitality is unmatched. They made us feel completely welcome. Such a special retreat.

Beautiful property

Stayed with our friends and it was perfect. Clean rooms and there were so many amenities. The owners were upstairs, very nice and mostly keep to themselves unless we needed something. It was very peaceful, multiple fire pits available which was awesome. 10/10 stay.

All the little things.

Had such a great stay in this peaceful place! Back yard was amazing and loaded having coffee in the morning gazing out into the woods. Owners were great and provided literally every little thing a traveler could need. Highly recommend. Super hospitable!

Awesome property shared with owners

The grounds of property are beautiful. Getting to the parking area is challenging and steep. They had a lot of extras and little touches which were appreciated. Comfortable beds and pillows. You do share with owners and you do hear them. They were mostly invisible though.
