Brilliant! Beautiful beach house, great living space inside and out. We made most of our meals at home and the kitchen was well-equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were lovely. The house is secluded and private in a charming neighborhood. It was easy to get to the beach either walking or in the golf cart. We had a wonderful time! Rachell, our host, was very helpful and quick to respond. Can’t recommend Shimmering Tides highly enough!

Relaxing Week at Port St Joe

Our stay was wonderful. The home was perfect and the location to everything was just right. This was our first time at Port St Joe but we will be back for sure. The property manager of this home provided great information and stayed in communication with me. Great week!

We absolutely LOVED this house!! Our family’s most favorite vacation yet. The house has everything you could want and more. Fullllllyyyy stocked kitchen and so much living space was perfect for 4 adults and 2 young children. We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the house upon arrival! The driveway, lot space, and location of the house at the end of the street was excellent. The golf cart was so helpful to get to the pool & beach quickly. We all had so much fun on the bikes as well! Windmark is such a nice neighborhood, quiet and safe.Rachell was an excellent host- always available for questions and help when we had to ask. This was our first time in Port St. Joe and we can’t wait to come back!!

Wonderful community & wonderful home

Our family loved our stay at Shimmering Tides. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay (soaps, toilet paper, every kind of dishware imaginable, etc). Host was very communicative and accommodating (even trying to get us access early). Loved the privacy/seclusion at the end of the road. Enjoyed mornings on the back porch watching the sunrise. Great open floor plan for hanging out, house was comfy and welcoming and felt like all the comforts of home. The golf cart included was a blast to drive around and made it so easy to cruise the community (we did several golf cart adventures a day), grab food, hit the beach with all our supplies, etc. Trip of a lifetime! Would definitely come back.

Excellent Vacation! Shimmering Tides was the best place to spend our vacation this summer. Rachell was so easy to work with and she provided the best care! We felt genuinely cared for by her. Beach Haven

We got to the house around 6pm, and we could not get over how beautiful the evening sun shines through the whole house. Everything was clean and set up for our family. It was so nice not to stress about bringing extra bulky items, like the beach umbrella, chairs, bikes, paddle boards. The house was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay inside, or for a hot day out on the beach. We loved the boardwalk access right by the driveway, and the golf cart ride to the pool was always a hit. A lot of the local shops/stores are closed Mondays and Tuesdays, and we found they closed on a whim so there were a few failed attempts at some ice cream. lol. The house was beautifully decorated, very up to date beach vibes. We were in contact with Rachell before we arrived, to a little bit after we left, she wanted to be sure we had everything we needed. We’ve already talked about a next time, and how we would want to make our trip a little longer! The house was everything we needed for a vacation, and the host was most generous!

Wonderful Property

We had an amazing time staying in Port St. Joe at this property. It came with everything you need for a great stay. The owners were very helpful and answered questions quickly. We were steps from the beach and a quick drive to downtown. I highly recommend staying here.

Exceeded our expectations

We absolutely loved shimmering tide! We had never been to the port st joe area and didn’t know what to expect. But we were so pleased! The area is perfect and not crowded, plenty of places to eat and just enough to do! Shimmering tide was stocked better than any vacation home we have ever been to, it was clean as a whistle, comfortable and so homey! The extra amenities like the golf cart, bikes, beach gear and paddle boards was the icing on the cake! Rachell was so quick and easy to communicate with and very personable too! The house is in a corner lot with a lovely fenced in back sandy area with a fire pit, it’s about a 3-5 minute golf cart ride to the beach or pool/shops and an 8 minute car ride into downtown port st joe! We love this home! Rachell, thank you for having us!

Fully equipped, beautiful property

No detail is missing in this property. We were able to enjoy beach days without packing all the gear we normally do. Whether walking down the boardwalk to taking the golf cart to the beach everything you need has been provided for you. The paddleboards were a fun bonus that we very much enjoyed right off the beach with the calm bay waters. The home is fully equipped inside with plenty of linens, towels, dishes, starter toiletetries, cleaning supplies etc. Rachell even left a goodie basket of snacks to welcome us to her home! The Windmark community is lovely with tons of walking paths, beautiful landscaping, and a large pool area. We visited in late November with weather in the 60s- 70s and the pool water was very warm and comfortable to swim even on cooler days. Port St Joe is also a great little town with plenty of good restaurants and amenities nearby. Wonderful Thanksgiving getaway!

Wonderful Trip

This was the first time we have stayed in the Port St. Joe area. We loved the community of Windmark Beach and the house was perfect! We loved the private backyard and the golf cart was great. We will definitely be back and Shimmering Tides will be the house we choose again!
