It was great! Host was prompt to respond to questions. Lots of beach toys, chairs, wagon. Corn hole game, hot tub, arcade game. We and our grandkids all enjoyed it. It was clean and plenty of room for all to sleep comfortably. Thank you!

We had a great stay at Purple Surf! Loved how close it was to the beach and all the toys available for the kids to have fun in the sand. The kids had fun with the arcade room too!The views from the deck were great and many morning cups of coffee were enjoyed listening to the birds. Check-in was easy and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Host was responsive to all questions and concerns.As mentioned in other reviews the road noise was near constant and all the living space is up a flight of stairs. We knew this going in so nothing negative on the host, but is certainly something to note if you have family that may be challenged by daily stair use.

Awesome stay!

Purple Surf was the perfect home for my family and I. Accommodating everyone’s needs and just steps away from the beach. I would definitely book again and encourage others to do so as well. Super easy check in process and the host was very helpful and responsive.

Wonderful Father’s Day weekend!

We had such a great time! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. Location is perfect for our time on the beach. We enjoyed all the wonderful amenities. Beds were comfortable and the A/C was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you again to the owner Carrie for being so accommodating and nice. Our family very much enjoyed our stay and we hope to come back again next year!

Short But Sweet

Great location if you don’t mind the traffic

Beautiful property, great access to the beach. This is located right off the main street. You can hear the traffic at all hours day and night. The enclosed yard is a bonus for small children and pets. Owner is responsive and friendly. Would stay here again.

Perfect family getaway

The owners had installed a firepit the week before we arrived. Such a great surprise and perfect for some chilly evenings we spent during our Thanksgiving trip. The beach access was super convenient and the views were great. This is no way felt like at 4th-row beach house. Loved the fenced in back yard for our pup, and the way the fence encompassed the stair landing was very well though out. Three king bedrooms made all the adults in our group feel comfortable. The house overall was very well laid-out and well appointed.

Wonderful location

Close to beach , wonderful fenced yard for pets , entry stairs are slightly steep but it is an elevated home , just mentioning if anyone in your group has issue with stairs

Life is Good and Times Like This Make It Even Better

Doesn't get any better than this! I had such a wonderful and relaxing time at Purple Surf on Crystal Beach! Just a hop skip and a jump away from Houston, no messing around with 45 South, just cruise down I-10 east until you reach Winnie and consider yourself there! My special needs daughter and I met up with my middle daughter, son-in-law and grandkids at this great get away! Very much a family friendly beach, quiet, and stress free. My grandkids loved it - played in the sand and had a blast riding the waves😊 Better yet, Purple Surf has a fenced in back yard with grass and a swing set, the kids loved it, of course, and I was amazed the outdoor shower had HOT and cold water! Not sure which feature I liked best, the close proximity to the beach for my special needs daughter and me or sitting on the porch relaxing with a glass of wine enjoying a breathtaking view. I’ll let you decide!

Very nice home and plenty of room for any kind of activity that you want to do. We loved walking on the beach that was only about a minute away from the front door! Dinner at Stingaree is a MUST!

Family reunion and surprise birthday party

This was a great property. Plenty of room and set up well to host a large surprise birthday party for my mom. The only thing that would make this a better property would be to add a cargo lift to get things up and down for the stay. But we knew at the outset that it was a beach house and that it didn't have a cargo lift, so nothing negative on the owners.
