The location on the beach was perfect, loved watching everyone walking their dogs. The cabin is older but very comfortable, plenty of room for family, good location to restaurants and grocery just up the road. Quiet area, it is right by the railroad tracks and there’s several commuter trains that go by all day but they are pretty quiet and hardly noticeable

A genuine beach house

Our Australian grandkids said that that had had their best NZ holiday ever. They then debated between themselves that it is was probably their best holiday ever.Well situated and well equipped for the perfect family beach holiday. I think that says it all. Host and local contact were both great to deal with.

Location was awesome. We loved the view. The amenities were great. Spa pool had sand on seats and tarnished my jewellery???Water quality???? There were not enough glasses, mugs, plates or bowls for 7 of us. Not enough dish washing liquid. Coffee cups had been used previously and looked like they had been put straight back on the shelf unwashed as they had dried coffee inside them. Only 5 wine glasses when we had 7 adults. It was not stated that train line was sitting with 20m of the nearest bedroom and the trains go most of the the night on the hour if not more often. Aside from that we really enjoyed our stay. Great location and out look. It was so nice to walk straight on to the beach from the house. The barbecue was excellent!

Beauty of a spot

Lovely beach front place with shops and everything real close by. Thr beach is great—calm and shallow for safe swimming with kids. The trains run constantly by the house, but they are surprisingly quiet (mostly passenger trains). Will definitely be back!!

Beachside Bach

Such a cosy Summer house in stunning location - right on the beach, we loved the old sofa outside as a comfy spot to watch the sun go down over the water. Short walk to great cafes and fish & chips. We did the nearby Escarpment Track and biked the Remutaka Rail Trail with the spa a lovely treat on getting home. Thank you!
