Chalet do Relógio d’Água is a wooden house in a rural setting, recommended for hikers, sports enthusiasts and those who want to get away from urban centres.

The house has an area of approximately 60 square metres and includes a bedroom with a double bed (1.60 metres wide), a bedroom with a bunk bed, a bathroom and a small living room with a kitchen and dining table.

There is a spacious, partially covered veranda with a dining table and a fabulous view of the ocean and surrounding farmland, ideal for relaxing in the late afternoon and enjoying the fabulous sunsets with their intense autumn colours.

The house is equipped with air conditioning in the living room, a fridge, washing machine, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, TV with international channels and other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxing stay.



LOCATION

The house is in a rural area at 620 m from sea level and at 7 km from the village of Ponta do Sol, where there is a beach and some restaurants and cafes.

At about 400 m there is a small supermarket and at 350 m there is a restaurant.

Ponta do Sol is located in the southwestern part of the island, which has the best weather conditions in Madeira.

A few kilometres away there are stunning cliffs, mountains and Laurissilva forest for nature lovers and hikers.

Nearby you can enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, surfing, fishing and other nautical activities.

The property has access to the main roads.



REMARKS

A car is recommended to this location. Free car park is available in the house or on the street.

As some roads in Madeira are steep and narrow, smaller vehicles with powerful engines are recommended.

As this is a rural area, there is potential for noise from dogs and other domestic animals on neighbouring properties.

The house is made of wood and has the characteristic smell of treated wood inside. If you are sensitive to this type of smell, we do not recommend this house.

Due to the climate, there are also insects and lizards in the rural surroundings, which may be attracted to food scraps. For those who are uncomfortable with the presence of insects and lizards, we do not recommend staying in a rural area.

The accommodation is not shared, but the floor below the accommodation is used sporadically by the owner.

Cleaning is done before guests check in and then there is a weekly maintenance cleaning, which includes the change of bed linen and towels.

The increase in the number of guests implies the payment of the tourist tax and a price increase of up to 10% per person.



CONDITIONS

1. Parties or behaviour that disturb the peace and well-being of neighbours are not allowed, especially between 10 pm and 8 am when neighbourhood noise is prohibited.

2. An online check-in form will be sent to collect essential identification data for check-in, arrival time and means of transport, which must be submitted by guests at least two days before arrival.

3. Self-check-in with flexible arrival time is available via a key lockbox whose code is created and sent on the day of arrival. For face-to-face check-in, it is necessary to schedule the time and the waiting time is 60 minutes, after which a new time can be scheduled according to our availability.

4. Guests may be required to present identification upon arrival and provide missing identification details to comply with legal requirements.

5. Any malfunctions, incidents or faults in the initial cleaning must be reported as soon as they are detected so that they can be checked and addressed in a timely manner during the stay. Issues reported late for the sole purpose of obtaining a refund will not be considered.

6. Guests must inform about allergies, conditions or special needs before or immediately after booking in order to verify compliance and appropriate measures to be taken.
