Charming restored Périgord, Domus vinea

Cottage in the middle of (organic) vineyards of Périgord near Bergerac, Monbazillac and Périgord noir: 3000 m2, without neighbors. You can enjoy the terrace and the warm interior of a restored traditional Perigord house, 140 m2, spread over two floors. One bedroom on the ground floor and two bedrooms upstairs. Three completely independent bedrooms: a king size bed in the RC room, bedroom 2 a double bed in 140, bedroom 3 a double bed in 140 (all the bedding was renewed in 2016).
At your request we will install extra beds for children or a baby.
A bathroom with a washing machine, a separate toilet with a sink as in the bathroom and a large kitchen are on the ground floor.
A first living space on the ground floor with view of the garden: living room with a five-seater sofa, two armchairs, a flat screen and a DVD player, satellite TV, many free channels, dining room, library with access to the terrace, facing south, a large table.
You will find all the comforts of everyday life in a spacious kitchen equipped with a table, a bar and two high chairs, an induction hob, microwave, oven, dishwasher, kettle, coffee maker and nespresso, many dishes, accessories and household robots. The room is bright with direct access and on one level to the terrace. The south-facing terrace (45 m2) is a real extra room for sunny days. Equipped with a large table, a garden furniture and a barbecue, it overlooks the garden. For children, a swing and a tree house are offered under the responsibility of an adult. Outdoor games are available.
Upstairs, a large mezzanine communicates with the two bedrooms, a second living space: two extra single beds installed at your request, table and chairs, library, many games available for all ages. It is a second space adaptable to your needs: work, reading, games, quiet nap. WiFi access will be given on site upon arrival.

Our cottage has a peaceful setting in the middle of the vineyards of the Périgord pourpre. The house is located in the middle of a large garden surrounded by organic vineyards. Depending on the season, you will attend the harvest, pruning and flowering in spring. From the house, you can walk or cycle through the vineyards, enjoy the terrace. A bottle will be offered to you upon your arrival. You will find in the welcome booklet all our indications to make the most of the place.
Périgord is also a gastronomic discovery: local products are worked with care and a know-how that is transmitted and shared: jams, preserves, fatty duck, pig. A real love for food which is found in the most beautiful tables of the city as in bistros and brasseries. The city of Bergerac offers a tourist site facing the Dordogne, a city that has kept the charm of a traditional habitat which you will enjoy by walking the pedestrian streets. After taking advantage of this beautiful environment, we like to find ourselves in this house, by the fire in winter or in the garden in summer in the shade of the trees.
Périgord is also a land of men, a place of numerous prehistoric discoveries, a thousand and one castles, awe-inspiring sites! From the house you access by car to the many sites of Périgord: La Roque-Gageac, Beynac, Domme, Sarlat, Castellenaud, Le Bugue ... (between 45 min and 1 hour)

The markets of Bergerac and Issigeac (magnificent village) are very famous. The castles of Bridoire (very well laid out for children, many games, a treasure hunt) and Monbazillac (free tasting) are ten minutes from the house. Duras Castle is 20 minutes away.
You can practice canoeing in Gardonne, 6km from Gabarre on the Dordogne to Bergerac and enjoy a small town with traditional architecture, and immortalize your visit in front of the statue of Cyrano de Bergerac, 15 minutes from the gîte.
For swimming, in Bergerac, Lake Pombonne is free and offers walks and bicycle tours, an evening tavern. The Dordogne offers many other tourist bathing sites: Sainte Foy, Le Buisson, Limeuil. Tree climbing is 20 minutes away. The villages of Périgord and the hot air balloon are 45 km away, the caves of Lascaux 1h20. For children, in rainy weather, 6 minutes away, you have an area where activities are grouped together: bowling, laser-play and trampoline park, small beavers (inflatable structures) and aqualand in summer.
