Great value for money

We booked a Studio room which came complete with a small kitchen. The decor was a bit dated, but was spotlessly clean and functional. We arrived at around midday and had to wait until 14h00 for the reception staff to check in. Only real problem was the proximity to the TGV rail station and the noise from passing trains. The hotel is a short walk (up 140 stairs!) to the town centre and many tourist attractions.

One small disappointment with the area is that I could not find convenient mini-market or supermarket easily. Quite a bit of a walk in the end. This requirement is probably a feature of stays in appartment hotels. If you don't want to use buses or a taxi to get to the town centre note that you can avoid part of the climb by using the lifts or escalators of the travel centre by the railway station. The museum is most excellent and can betaken in as part of one of the "lined" pavement walks through the town

Convenience in Poitiers

This is a modern apartment hotel that is 200m from the train station and walking distance to the shopping area of town. The reception staff were friendly and could speak good English. The rooms are bright, comfortable and air conditioned. It also has a small kitchenette with plenty of pots, crockery and cutlery.
