Good location for Plitvice hikes. The spa was not open and is really just a sauna. Hot tub was closed due to wind. This definitely had more of a campers hostel site feel vs. A villa, but since we were only staying one night, it wasn't bad. Also, heating and cooling is central, so you don't control it in your room. If we were staying multiple nights I probably would have picked something more upscale.

Great Location And Place To Stay

Fantastic location, very close to national park, very clean inside and very comfortable bed. Food was very good and it was overall a very pleasant experience. Would definitely stay here again!

PERFECT spot for visiting Plitvice!

Fabulous host Dijomir went above and beyond to show us the best way to visit the park, make our cocktail hour delicious, fun, relaxing, provide a delicious breakfast and create a warm, comfortable atmosphere for our stay. And his restaurant recommendations were also 5 star!!he hot tub was very welcome after our 8+ mile hike.

The property felt very much like home. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Helena showed us exactly where to walk for the Plitvice national park. She had a great sense of humour! The two home cooked meals were delicious and the place was clean. We stayed two nights and we got fresh towels each day. The owner drove us to the bus station which was really nice! I would definitely recommend people stay there.

We chose this villa because of its close location to entrance 2 of the park. It is an short walk through the forest to entrance 2 of the park. We stayed two nights and had the home cooked dinner one night which was a very generous portion. Our room was very comfortable, up one short flight of stairs. Very helpful hosts.

Older unit, but adequate. Manager on premises and very helpful. Major plus for the property is access to the park, about a 15 minute walk to Gate 2. Lots of free parking, which is nice.

A Perfect Place to Stay Near Plitvice Lakes

We recently stayed at this hotel for three nights (June 2017) and loved it! The hotel is small like a B&B; the rooms were comfortable; the breakfast and dinners (fixed menus) were absolutely delicious; the staff was very accommodating; and the WiFi signal was strong. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk to entrance #2 of Plitvice Lakes National Park and a 2-minute walk to the nearest market, therefore, once you arrive you do not need a car (we had a rental and didn't use it the entire time we were there). The hotel has a sauna which my husband used every day and a Jacuzzi, which we didn't use but was readily available. While we were there the weather was perfect and we had no issues; however, we were informed that thunder storms *may* affect the WiFi connectivity and cause electrical shortages that may impact access to the sauna/Jacuzzi (something to keep in mind if you are there during thunder storms). Overall, we loved this hotel and highly recommended it to anyone interested in visiting Plitvice Lakes.

Cozy, quiet and personable

If you are looking for a quiet place to stay at the national parks, this is a great place. We walked to the national park from the hotel and it was beautiful. The staff personally cooked us dinner that evening. For the appetizer for dinner, they went up to the nearby village and got fresh, homemade cheeses to try as well. They were very personable people and were happy to serve you or answer any questions you had about the surrounding area. Loved it and would go back anytime

Villa Mukinja is a short walk (15 minutes) to Entrance No. 2 of the Plitvice Lakes National Park. We did not have breakfast or dinner at the villa so can not comment in this regard. The staff were welcoming and friendly to us. The room was clean with nice views over the garden. It was great to relax in the afternoon sunshine in the jacuzzi after a day of walking!

Lovely people and unbelievable food

Ticks all boxes for access to Plitvice Lakes which is the essential but a lovely place to stay for other reasons. Staff led by multi-talented Helena are like a family and give great insight into local area and Croat life in general. Set 4 course menu is described and cooked with great pride. Huge trout are the best we have had and the meat platter just fantastic. Tasty home made soup and desserts worthy of any top restaurant all served with good humour for about £25 GBP. The owner gave a lift to Ent 2 bus stop but most buses pick up and drop off at the village which is a pleasant 15 min walk through forest from Ent 2. Actually late in the Dayan arrival we were able to walk freely into the park which you can easily enter elsewhere without the ticket anyway. But you need the ticket for park transport and it is checked if entering from official entrances.

Bed and breakfast outside of Plitvice nat park

This is a very pleasant facility outside of Plitvice lakes National Park in Croatia. We had 3 adults in small room, we left 2 large pieces of luggage in the car and the space in the room was still cramped with our 3 small carry ons.The small bathroom had a shower stall and a hair dryer , liquid soap was provided as well as toothbrushes and toothpaste.The pathway from the car has 4 stairs and is rocky and uneven for luggage. The staff consisted of some English and non English speaking staff. 2 English speaking young women greeted us and informed us we could have dinner for 30 euros per person, breakfast would be 10 euros per person. We thought the 30 euros a little pricey and we had some left over pizza from lunch. One of the young women very pleasantly warmed our pizza for us and provided us with utensils and drinking water for no charge. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful with scrambled eggs freshly laid from a chicken on site, yogurt, cereal, sausage and bacon and a large basket of bread with honey, nutella and jam.Overall we would recommend this facility due to the pleasant staff, clean room and wonderful breakfast, while being aware of its limitations.

Nice friendly staff, basic rooms but very comfortable, loved that it was convenient to walk to the National Park, owner was helpful with driving directions to Split and Zadar, and even shared his homemade chicken noodle soup recipe with us, overall it was a great experience for us!
