Love the cute little cottage, right along the Cabot trail, it was perfect, quiet at night, had everything we needed. We had a great dinner meal at the on-site restaurant. It was a very pleasant experience.

Handy, clean and reasonably priced spot to stay for the night as we were going whale watching from a location very close by the next morning. Staff was friendly, but we didn’t have much contact. The room and bathroom were clean so we were comfortable enough. The mountains were right out our window, which we liked, and we loved watching the fog drift over the top for a few hours (it was a rainy type of day). This being said, there were some small things that could easily be fixed to make things nicer…. the toilet seat was too small for the toilet (which sucks when you are a woman), the main door and bathroom door didn’t fit properly, the bathroom wallpaper was put over the previous vinyl clad wall and was starting to peel, horrible paint/touch up job and caulking job (not a deal breaker, but would look much better if it was done better), and I can honestly do a better job. Somewhat dated rooms (there have been some upgrades) and very dated bathroom with no counter space, (but this last one is not a small fix). Speaking of bathrooms, the hot water and pressure were the best… if you forget your soap the pressure will spray the dirt right off you! There is a restaurant on site but we didn’t try it. Overall, I would say go for it if you are looking for a reasonably priced spot to lay your head over night and don’t want modern and updated.

The property is a little date, and likely only open on a seasonal basis ... but it certainly met our requirements for a one-night stay. The staff were absolutely superb, some of the friendliest people we met in Nova Scotia, and the food in the on-site restaurant was fantastic. My wife ordered a hot turkey sandwich and I ordered a plate of snow crab. Both meals were just excellent. The property is in a great location along the Cabot Trail as well. Very convenient and close to the Skyline Trail. I would certainly recommend this property, and would like to thank the staff for their warmth and hospitality.

Check in was quick and painless - our room was even ready early. Beds were comfortable and the air-conditioning worked. The motel was close to everything we wanted to do and made for a good night. Check out was seamless and we enjoyed ourselves. For the price it was a solid night's stay.

The accommodations were very dated, needs a refresher. A small fridge and microwave for travellers would be nice, perfect space for it in the rooms. The restaurant is less than appealing, the food and the atmosphere. I found the bedding very dingy looking which made me question if they were clean.

We enjoyed our stay at the mountain view. It wasn’t perfect but provided a nice night for us as we travelled the trail. Pros - clean, dining on site, beautiful natural surroundings, friendly staff. Cons - Air conditioner loud as a jet engine, easy to hear neighbours (talking, showering, AC). Would stay again, perhaps in the fall when AC wasn’t needed :)
