Fantastic Gite with wonderful views

We had a fantastic stay in Pierrevert. The gite was really lovely and very well equipped and the owners were so friendly, despite the language barrier (our French is terrible). The views from the gite are amazing and it is a great base from which to explore Provence. The village centre is a 5 minute walk from the property and has a few shops and a bar/bistro (we didn't try it but it looked nice) and the town of Manosque is a 10 minute drive away. I would highly recommend this for a holiday break in Provence.

A lovely place to stay

We stayed for 10 days in late March/early April. The weather was rather patchy, but probably as expected at that time of the year. We went with the idea of walking and seeing some of the lovely local villages. And that's what we did. The house was exactly what we wanted, and as described on the website. The décor is modern and very comfortable. The kitchen contains everything you need to self-cater. We loved the view over the orchards and vineyards, and there is a boules court and a swimming pool. These are both shared with the other gite. It's an 8-minute walk into Pierrevert where, among other shops, there is a bakery, butchers, wine co-operative and a small supermarket. Manosque is 10-15 minutes by car and has several big supermarkets and a delightful old centre. Christine and Frederic were very welcoming, left some lovely welcome gifts for our arrival, and were on hand to help if needed. All in all, a well nigh perfect place to stay!

Urlaub Provence

Es war unser erster Urlaub in der Provence und wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt! Frederic ist ein super Gastgeber, es gab bei der Ankunft Gastgeschenke (Wein, Olivenpaste, Marmelade und Kekse) alles super lecker und bei Fragen konnte man ihn immer ansprechen. Wir hatten den Pool für uns alleine, da die anderen Gäste den Pool nicht genutzt haben. Es war sehr ruhig und wir konnten uns super erholen. Im Dörfchen was in 5 Min. fußläufig erreichbar ist, gibt es einen Supermarkt und mehrere Restaurants. Wir hatten die Gelegenheit gleich zweimal auf einem Dorffest mit dabei sein zu können und die Freundlichkeit der Franzosen hat uns echt umgehauen. Wir wären gerne noch geblieben, wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub! Liebe Grüße von Ursula und Karlheinz

Un séjour au paradis, en pleine campagne, dans un gîte très beau, reposant, où rien ne manque pour la cuisine , la toilette, le couchage. Une belle villa non loin de Pierrevert pour faire les courses et un propriétaire très discret qui nous a accueillis chaleureusement et nous a présenté les différentes pièces Je n'hésiterai pas à y retourner.
