Lovely large bedrooms at rear of property and plent6 of parking. The staff were first class in all areas and even got a call before arriving warning us that the road would be closed at 7pm for works preventing access to car park. Food very good in restaurant. Don’t be put off by first view from street the interior and rooms are excellent.

Nice stay

Really nice couple of nights in the White Swan. Staff all lovely and friendly, nothing was an issue. Room all clean and fresh. Only one thing was the bed was too soft for us but everyone is different. Food was beautiful, limited menu and quite pricey but very nice. Parking was a bit limited. Couldn’t get parked at first. Overall I would definitely recommend.

We were given a beautiful, spacious room with everything we needed, luxurious toiletries, fresh milk and water in the fridge and an electric fan. Very comfortable.

The property is very old and this is reflecting in the condition of the building. The room we had could do with a few updates. No cold water if you wanted a bath, the water pressure was very slow, and hot water when it did arrive was very poor. The bathroom sink was chipped . The manager was very understanding, and took our comments and gave us our breakfast on the house which was very kind of him.

Our stay was lovely: the manageress, bar staff and waitresses were all welcoming. They provided information about the local area and showed interest when we returned after our days out. We stayed three nights in a very comfortable room, with a good selection at breakfast. We ate in one evening which very tasty. We would definitely stay here again.

A great place to stay

Fabulous stay at The White Swan Inn for two nights. Lovely area and only 30 minutes from Whitby along the most amazing road. Hotel was everything we had hoped for, friendly, cozy, great restaurant, bar and atmosphere. Lovely fires welcomed you back after a chilly day. Room was comfortable, clean and lots of tea and coffee and water available. Breakfast was amazing too. Lovely team

Great all round stay

On arrival service was spot on, the room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The only slight negative was the amount of time needed for hot water to reach the shower. My evening meal was good quality and reasonably priced, beer was good and the breakfast was also good quality and well cooked. I would definitely stay here next time I’m in the area.
