The hotel location was very convenient as it was walking distance to a lot of shops, restaurants and the beach. Staff was very polite and kind but there were a few things we werenā€™t made aware of before checking in as we booked through Expedia. They require $2000 baht room deposit CASH only upon check in so have money available. They do a walk through of your room upon check out to make sure everything is in order before giving you your deposit back; this took about 10-15 minutes. The couch in our room had multiple existing stains which made us not want to sit on it. They donā€™t allow durian and mangosteen in your room and will give you a fine if they see it; housekeeping will notify management and they will send you a warning letter with pictures. Their pool/jacuzzi was down during our visit so we didnā€™t get to use that. Overall, it was a good stay. Just wish we were informed of certain things in advance before booking.

Property is very old, beds are as hard as a rock, staff are rude and unhelpful, swimming pool makes your skin & clothes turn yellow, spa is cold. Bed makes a lot of noise and makes for a terrible sleep

I cannot rate TOO harshly because I knew what I was getting into when booking it and seeing the reviews. I do think many of the poor reviews are from people thinking they were getting some resort property. However, with that being said, the pictures posted by the property are not a good representation, check out google maps street view for a more realistic image. We loved that it was so close to Patong Beach as we are young and love the business and accessibility to bars, restaurants, etc. However we found it odd that the hotel has an entire separate building down an alley, which seemed to be empty other than the rooftop pool. When the front desk lady showed us to where it is, I was very confused as to what was going on there. Anyways, my biggest gripe about my stay was the fact that we, quite literally, woke up in pain each morning as the ā€œmattressesā€, are box springs. I am not one to stay in the hotel a lot on vacation, but a comfortable bed is a must and by my last night, I was almost in (happy) tears thinking about sleeping in a different bed. The best part of this property is the distance to the beach, and the nice woman with glasses that was at the front desk for most of our stay. I have also never had to wait while they inspect my room before check out, but I guess since they didnā€™t have us put down a credit card at check in, this is somewhat fair. The elevator also was out for part of our trip which would have been frustrating if we had to carry our bags up and down.
