I spent a week recently here staying in the superior room 1 king bed,balcony,sea room. Room was great the view was amazing, nice and clean. There are a few things that let this resort down firstly the breakfast buffet, every morning the hot food section was cold the hashbrowns were like golden rocks, bacon,sausages and everything else in the hot section freezing cold. It was very much catered for the chinese tourists. It was dissapointing that you could only get a lift by the resort golf buggies at specific times to the front of the resort even when the buggies are just sitting there nobody is willing to take you or do anything extra out of the designated times. If going into town each day is important to you unfortunately the Movenpick owned bus into town only goes once day from 1800 till 2130 and you also need to pay for that bus trip its not expensive but I feel like they should offer different times to run into town throughout the day/night. It's the little things that let this resort down. Would i stay there again probably not.

So far, the worst customer experience I’ve had in a hotel. The front desk staff is unpleasant — it almost feels like you're bothering them by asking simple questions. Even the simplest requests, like being shown to the right door, turn into something complicated. The hotel is huge and soulless. Very disappointed — I do not recommend this place.

4 * L'hotel est magnifique mais l'espace aménagé sur la plage est beaucoup trop compacté et manque de chaises. Clairement pas comme sur la photo de l’hôtel. Le service au restaurant est très lent et désorganisé par contre le personnel est vraiment gentil et attentionné malgré tout.

Nicely designed place but in need of some renovation, a big piece of plaster fell down on the kids swimming pool area, the sun loungers on the balcony have seen better times, the kids playground is small and the toys are old/ in need of repair, the first room offered to us had a mouldy ceiling, the next room had a connection door to the adjacent hotel room with barely any sound isolation, staff is friendly, food tastes really good and the breakfast is amazing

We stayed at this lovely resort for 8 days and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The resort features beautiful swimming pools and a pristine sandy beach. With three restaurants on-site, breakfast was pleasant, and the staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. The only downside for us was the lack of activities or amenities outside the resort—restaurants and shopping require a taxi. Despite this, we’re already thinking about coming back!

We paid a lot money for a beach holiday but MOVENPICK was unable to supply it because it did not have enough sun beds to go around. We pointed this out to a member of staff and she said it was first come first served. MOVENPICK should refund our money. Do not go there.

We had a lovely stay here - however a few things could have been better, seating / deck chairs and shade are a major problem. The pool has very limited loungers as does the beach, one day we had to lie on bean bags which was fine but there’s no umbrellas so unless your under a palm tree or want to sit in the sun your sort of stuck for options. For a 5 star resort I would expect a bed and shade! Room was beautiful, breakfast was great - staff were okay, I wasn’t allowed to take a coffee out of breakfast for my partner which seemed ridiculous. Also make sure you get a towel key at reception when you check in or you’ll get to the beach and have to walk back - not what you want after a long flight! I personally think it’s a great place for families, as a young couple it’s probably not the best spot! You can get around using grab which is great, about 25 mins ish from town but the right side for the safari. If you show the women outside the hotel grab she will get you taxis at the same price.

Beautiful property. Kind of far from all the activities on the south side of the island (water sports like scuba diving, jet ski, attractions like cable car & Sunset Town). For a 5 star resort we were surprised when we asked housekeeping to clean the bathroom twice and the toilet was disgusting after it was “cleaned” - found toilet water on the seat & floor. Staff were attentive most of the time, but not all the staff were good.

Bad service and deceptive billing when checking in

The worst experience and booking through Hotels.com I have ever had. Last year, I booked 5 rooms here and no problems whatsoever through hotels.com. This year, I booked 2 rooms for 6 travelers at the same resort. I had 1 king room for 2 travelers, and the other room 2 twin beds that sleeps “4” adults. Upon checking in, the staff said that the 2 twin beds is only for 2 adults and 2 kids. Nowhere is this listed on Hotels.com. They insisted that we upgrade to 2 queen beds that sleeps 4 adult. I asked if we upgrade to 2 queen beds to charge is the current rate for the room. I paid $$$$ on top of the rate I paid to hotels.com dollars for the 2 nights. At checkout, the staff said what I paid for was the upgrade for the 2 queen beds. I ended paying twice the money for 2 rooms for 6 people, when if explained clearly I would have paid less for 3 rooms for 6 people. What the heck Needless to say I will not be returning to this resort next year when I’ll be traveling to Phu Quoc island with my friends and family. I would definitely not recommend this location for its shotty customer service. I would not recommend this resort chain for other destinations as well. Anh why doesn’t Hotels.com
