Nice modern room decorated with local artist paintings and great view of the rock. Great beds good shower. I was hoping to have better acces to the beach however the hotel is located on a cliff towards the end of the city, with no proper way to get down to the beach (which is now covered in stone anyway) but you can walk a few minutes to reach a boarwalk. I would stay there again but Perce is not like it used to be, not sure I would visit again.

Non-Canadians should know before they book that the Riotel is a chain that builds new hotels that ressemble 1950s and 1960s MOTELS. You enter your room from a covered walkway that abuts the parking lot. Rooms have a single window that looks out into the covered walk way and the parking lot. No privacy unless you close the blinds. Rooms come with a coffee maker. Ours was broken. Bathroom was small shower was good. But only a trickle of hot water came out of sink faucet. Impossible to wash one’s face. Only way to charge a phone on the bedside bed table is to get down on the floor and unplug the lamp or clock to have a socket. On positive side, bed was very comfortable and restaurant was nice.

It was the first time in a 16 hr drive and 3 hotels that we felt truly welcome like family not by people pretending and we didn’t feel degraded because we were English. My granddaughter has so far received a very poor introduction to Quebec. This place may have changed her mind!
