The experience was absolute perfection! The cabin is immaculate! From the style of the home, the decor, the furnishings and comfort was the absolute best. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating and the digital guestbook provided all the details that we needed. We will definitely be back!
The lake was so peaceful. Our favorite activities were sitting at the end of the dock enjoying wonderful sunsets and listening to the calls of the loons and frogs. I took three amazing kayak paddles around the lake in which I was able to observe the two resident adult loons feeding and caring for their chick from a respectable distance for long periods of time. After dark we enjoyed sharing our stories from the day's activities around the campfire in the provided firepit. When we ate out we enjoyed meals at restaurants in Nisswa and Cross Lake.
The cottage was very new and we enjoyed the Paul Bunyan Trail as we love the outdoors. Location is lake front and our dogs loved it too. Only mention is the main residence is right across the street. We were visiting family and have traveled to MN in the Nisswa area for many years. It’s beautiful and I love the people. The proximity is great to the gull lake chain and many great eating spots. Downtown Nisswa is quaint and fun to people watch and visit the stores.
