Nido Rainforest Residence: 8 Bedrooms, Heated Private Pool and Yoga Shala
Wake up with the rainforest outside your window, make coffee for the group and let the morning unfold at Nido Rainforest Residence. About 15–20 minutes by car from downtown La Fortuna, this spacious home gives families and groups a leafy place to return to after exploring the Arenal area.
ROOM TO GATHER Large windows bring the surrounding greenery into the living room. Settle into the generous sofas, share dinner around the long wooden table or cook together in the open kitchen. A stove, refrigerator, microwave, cookware and countertop appliances make it easy to prepare meals at home. Wooden ceilings, woven lights and colorful artwork give the shared spaces a warm, relaxed feel.
EIGHT BEDROOMS, ELEVEN KING BEDS • Three bedrooms have two king beds each, giving guests who share a room separate beds. • Five bedrooms have one king bed each. There are eleven king beds and eight private full bathrooms in total. Each of the eight air-conditioned bedrooms has its own private full bathroom, so your group can get ready at its own pace and have separate places to rest. Canopy beds, sitting areas and windows looking into the trees make the rooms feel connected to the setting while giving everyone space to retreat.
POOL AND RAINFOREST TIME The private heated pool sits below the house among tropical plants, with loungers and covered seating nearby. Take a swim, enjoy a barbecue or spend a quiet moment on the balcony. The covered yoga shala opens to the greenery and offers another place to stretch or unwind together.
PLAN FOR THE LAYOUT The house, bedrooms and outdoor spaces are spread across different levels. Exterior paths and stairs connect areas of the property, and bedrooms are accessed from outside. Please consider this layout when traveling with young children or anyone who has difficulty using stairs.
EXPLORE LA FORTUNA Drive into town for restaurants and supplies, then plan your days around the area's hot springs, nature walks and other Arenal attractions. Travel times vary by destination and road conditions. Our local team is available if you need help during your stay.

We had a group of 15 and the house slept everyone comfortably. Location was great. Well stocked house. Grounds were beautiful. Might be in listing, but didn’t pay attention: 3 bedrooms are located on the main floor, 5 bedrooms are on the lower level that are only accessible outside. Not an issue for us. Would recommend to others
We were a group of 16. The house was nice and large and clean. A few issues/warnings for you. The house is far from town. And, it is on a very rough dirt road and incline. No fun. Also, the lower level is not connected to the house internally, but rather you walk outside down a ramp. You also take another ramp to the pool and deck level. So, the house is 3 stories in the back and just 1 story street facing. There is a gate. Hot water was an issue for us when we all tried to shower at the same time. Otherwise there was plenty of hot water.
We were a family of 11; 3 rooms are located upstairs and 5 are on the lower level (you have to exit the house, walk down a steep ramp to get to those 5). Upstairs rooms each have 2 king beds. Downstairs rooms had musky smell (better when AC was running).Bathrooms had shampoo and body wash (except one room only had 2 body washes); the shampoo & body wash bottles were not full upon arrival and I was glad we had our own with us. My parents (75 & 78) were not able to make it down to the pool due to the steepness of the ramp and fall risk too great! Rained every day making the ramp even less safe to go up/down. The restaurant next door (Chicha's) was a saving grace!! By days end we were too tired to drive back into town for dinner and who wants to cook when you are on vacation. Food there was good and literally it's so close it's like an extension of the home; they have a pool table and we spent every evening there for dinner and fun. BUT beware, they say they open at 7am. That does not mean they serve food at 7, so you should eat in town if needing an early meal. The VRBO did have complimentary coffee, filters and some snacks/drinks there for us upon arrival. Each room only had 2 towels an 1 washcloth, but they dropped off more when we requested more towels/supplies.Hard to find large places that each have a private bathroom, so this was forsure a plus!
Check-in and checkout were a breeze via lockbox. The value here was amazing, honestly. The open space for cooking, dining and just hanging out was perfect. You would think there would be wildlife all around, but all we saw were stray dogs. The restaurant just next door was a nice surprise for when we wanted a snack but didn't want to cook or travel. The pool was a bit small and chilly, but a cool surrounding nevertheless. The only real critical feedback would be that the dirt road is busier than one might think and truly up against the property building so a bit noisy at times and the disconnected floorplan by level was odd...though noted. All else was excellent and we found the cleanliness and value well outweighed any nit-picking we could make.
