My husband and I came for a little getaway when we got to the counter, they had gave us a VIP status and upgraded our room to a suite with one bedroom, for being a valuable Expedia member. which was well appreciated. "hotel was definitely turned into a chain hotel and lost the integrity of what the diplomat used to be. the adult pool was not cleaned daily, staff at the beach were very helpful and accommodating. However, staff at guest/bell services were unpleasant."
