Nice Stay in Borgo Ticino District in south Pavia
Pre-arrival coordination via text messages was great. Francesca met my wife and I on Via dei Mille to walk us through the rental. The unit is off a courtyard approximately 12 steps down from street level. The queen bed in the primary bedroom was very comfortable – memory foam. There is a ‘nook’ off of the living room that has a second full-sized bed which we did not use. The bathroom has tub and corner shower. The unit has what I believe is a tankless hot water heater that provided continuous hot water for showers. We baked chicken breasts wrapped in prosciutto (latter provided by owners) one night for dinner – the oven is easy to use and cooked thoroughly. My wife made scrambled eggs two mornings (10 eggs provided by owners) on the convection stop top – again, easy to use/worked well. Internet service was sufficient enough to stream online news. Only moderate amount of street noise noticed. Washing machine and dryer operation was a bit confusing as there are a litany of choices. The dryer is a condenser/ventless dryer – so expect smaller capacity and longer drying time than that in US. Street parking is interesting – area is provided along the wall outside the unit, an area typically used by walkers. I ultimately parked in free unmarked parking on Str. Persa ½ block away. Francesca brought us fresh strawberries one evening – delicious, and offered two incredible locations for dinner, both were awesome! A great stay.
