Great stay. Terrific apartment in private courtyard. Near to bakeries and grocery. Walking distance to everything you want to see in Paris. Two levels great for families with kids especially. Very quiet and private.

Overall, a very nice accommodation in a quiet area of the Marais district. However, the step up to dining area from hall and kitchen are unsafe 'as is', resulting in repeated trips. Suggest a strip of warning paint or tape be placed as an alert and reminder. The basement rooms themselves are very nice, although the steep spiral staircase will be an issue for anyone with mobility issues or young children.Other issues noted include the following: The hosts should provide additional kitchen basics such as paper towels and perhaps cooking oil, some common seasonings, etc. Only one tea towel provided, which seems insufficient. There were no replacement plastic garbage bags although guests are requested to remove garbage to bins outside. There is definitely a need for detailed, printed instructions on the clothes washing machine and dishwasher. We also noted that the dishes in the cabinets were not clean upon arrival.There are an abundance of coffee-table type books (incl. some duplicates) scattered about resulting in a somewhat cluttered look; one or two power bars to facilitate charging of the inevitable electronic gizmos would be more useful.Overall though, I believe we'd recommend the Vivaldi with the changes noted above, and would stay here again.

This apartment was in the ideal location. We walked almost everywhere. There were shops and galleries and restaurants close by with a very hip vibe! Our hostess, Brooke, was excellent. She was waiting for us upon arrival and showed us around the apartment as well as recommended a crepery around the corner which was superb! Anyone renting this apartment should know that the spiral staircase is extremely narrow. I was not able to get my large suitcase down the stairs. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone with mobility issues. Another thing to know is that the washing machine is a combination with the dryer. We dried and dried and dried and eventually had to take the laundry to a laundromat. If you have a lot of wash, this would not be a good rental. It is also important to know that the two upstairs bathrooms are not both connected to the bedrooms. One bath is en suite and the other full bathroom is on the other end of the apartment off the kitchen. This was not a problem for us, but if anyone needs to get up often at night, it could be an issue. All in all, this was a charming, comfortable place and the location was absolutely perfect!

The property was exactly as described in the listing. It was charming, conveniently located and perfect for our family. We were within walking distance to many locations and could easily reach the metro for other sights. This is the perfect location for a stay in Paris. We were appreciative of Susan checking in with us during our stay to be sure all was well.

Perfect Paris Stay in the Heart of Le Marais

This apartment isn’t just good—it’s ridiculously amazing. It blends comfort, practicality, and style. High ceilings, natural light, modern amenities, and functional design make it an outstanding home base.The Marais is the perfect location—full of great food, walkable streets, and charming energy. The apartment was even better than expected. Bedrooms were spacious and beautifully set up, and the basement rooms were a lifesaver during the summer heat. The kitchen was just right for simple meals, and we loved having a big table to gather around each morning. The hosts were wonderful and gave us great recommendations. Highly recommend this place—we’d absolutely stay again!

Awesome neighborhood and really charming flat

Birthday trip with my 7 college friends of 40 years. Had an amazing time and LOVED this flat. Cozy and comfy. Fabulous neighborhood. We highly recommend.

Beautiful apartment in wonderful location!

My family stayed in this lovely apartment for 4 nights. It’s a very unique and historic property with beautiful decorations. It was very quiet - we loved stepping into the quiet courtyard and it was a peaceful oasis. The location is incredible - in the heart of Les Marais which is our favorite neighborhood in Paris. There were dozens of cafes and bakeries within a few blocks. We walked to Notre Dame, the Louvre and the D’Orsay through picturesque streets and beautiful parks.

Pretty place ,pretty time in Paris

We had a wonderful four day three nights stay. Our rental was a beautiful well appointed in the manager was very responsive. The location was excellent. There was a metro stop near and multiple nice restaurants within walking distance. The weather was perfect in Paris and we walked everywhere and really enjoyed our time. Would recommend a stay again For a group that needs four bedrooms and a comfortable living room room.

We had a wonderful time and the apartment was beautiful. The staff was very responsive and helpful. The location was excellent as well. The staircase to the downstairs is steep, circular and has small steps. Caution is in order.

Vivaldi - Marais Review

Multiple layers of management as the people coordinating our rental were not the property owners. Rental liason's were wonderful and very responsive. Unit is a bit tired and spiral staircase is a hazard for most adults. Also steps into dining room and then steps down to kitchen. 2 of 3 showers were tubs with HIGH clearances and 3rd was shower only but not floor level (big step up). For people with mobility issues, beware. I have MS so sensitive to mobility issues. Having the steps taped, may help? My older sister took quite the stumble in the kitchen and she does not have MS! The lower level was horribly musty after the deluge of rain to the point of hazardous to health. The owner's rep were not very responsive. We had unbelievable difficulty with the keypad lock to the point we could not get in/out the door and spent an inordinate amount of time, trying. On the 3rd day of the rental, we got a key (thank goodness). I recommend a live demonstration for renters!! The written instructions did not cut it and being told it was our user error was not well received. Location is wonderful and other occupants seem to be commerical. Very quiet and felt safe. Having a place to gather was a bonus for our group. Didn't feel this rental was good value for the money given all of our issues. It was available last minute so served our purposes.

Great location, quiet neighborhood

Location worked very well for our stay. We were a group of 5 60+ with 2 30-yr olds, and we walked to Notre Dame and the Louvre areas. Metro stations are close (within 10 min walk) in several directions. Neighborhood is quiet, especially at night. The apartment itself is lavishly decorated. More than I usually like, but I appreciated the effort. You enter on ground floor, which includes living, dining, kitchen areas as well as 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Basement includes another living area, 2 large bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Basement bedrooms were great for sleeping. Cool and dark and quiet. Beds and linens super comfy. Slept so well! Only issue was spiral staircase to get to basement — EXTREMELY tight and steep. A normal size adult had to walk up and down carefully. We would not let my 89-yr old mother go down them. Not sure how we got suitcases up and down, but somehow we did. Hosts left a gift basket with snacks and wine, which was a lovely gesture. They were attentive to my texts and calls. The safe in the closet never did work, but we had no issues. Wish they had left a roll of paper towel and more toilet paper, but we survived.

Our accommodations could not have been better! Extremely quiet, despite being walking distance to everything! Stunningly beautiful with old world charm but all modern amenities. Very clean and large. Service was impeccable. Can not wait to go back!

Overall excellent. We were all over 65 and the very small spiral staircase to the lower bedrooms was a surprise. A bit of a challenge. Dishwasher racks need some attention. The management team was excellent.
