We’re returning guests and can honestly say this place is a gem. Beautiful home, great vibes, and a perfect base for skiing at White Pass. We enjoyed our stay at the Lovely River House. The views are outstanding and we enjoyed the large deck, outside area, and views from the windows. The kitchen was well stocked with all the stuff we needed (pans, Tupperware, dishes, cutting boards, etc). If you are looking for a nice retreat with responsive home owners, consider staying at this VRBO. I know owners aren't always able to offer early check in and late check out, but these owners were able to offer both to us. The house provides easy access to White Pass.

Beautiful Setting and Great Proximity to Skiing/Hiking

The house is in a great location for skiing and hiking....a short drive into town for food/groceries/etc. The house sits right on the bank of the river and the view is beautiful. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. I would recommend this property.

Beautiful location, perfect home for relaxation after exploring Mt Rainier area

This was the perfect home base while we spent a wonderful week exploring the Mt. Rainier area! The town of Packwood is fun to explore and we loved seeing the elk in town. We also explored the White Pass Scenic Byway around Rimrock Lake and visited a fun brewery in Yakima. The hosts have generously thought of everything you'd need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Spending time near the river every evening was a highlight of our visit!

Well stocked modern home on Cowlitz river about 3 miles out of Packwood. Property well maintained. Owners were easy to work with. Nice neighborhood. Property was great for ski trip to White Pass ski area, about 20 miles away. Would be great basefor hiking and outdoor activities

What a Special Place!

This is a beautiful property that has it all! We especially enjoyed the river! It was perfect for our family get together in every way. Close to Mount Rainier, close to dining and groceries. Everyone loved the property, the little girls loved the swing so much. They cried when we had to leave. This has it all in the kitchen, comfort, and setting. 10 stars!!

Truly a lovely house with an amazing view! The kitchen was well stocked. The clear river was great for cooling off in the summer. The teenagers in our group had fun floating downstream in tubes. We all enjoyed sitting around the fire by the river every evening. The huge deck was great for eating meals while enjoying the view. Communication was great - very helpful and quick to respond. It's clear that a lot of love and thoughtful detail went into making this a wonderful vacation home.

Wonderful, peaceful home on the river

We were visiting our family in Packwood, we came from California and Colorado. This was the perfect location for us to stay with my siblings and have room on the deck for my cousins to visit and hang out. The home is well appointed, clean, and had everything we needed to cook breakfast (that is all we wanted to cook!). The way the home is situated with the back deck facing the river, you hardly know there are neighbors. It was peaceful to sit on the deck in the morning and evening and look across the river at nature, no homes. I hope I have the opportunity to stay again sometime!
