Hidaway in the Black Forest

Our Black Forest house was built in 1868 and housed generations of a local family for over 150 years. For us, a dream came true with the purchase in 2022. With a lot of love and the help of local craftsmen, we have sustainably renovated the *Wolfshound Cottage*. With the aim of combining modernity and tradition, we were able to refurbish the old wooden and plank floors, expose roof beams, install porcelain switches without sacrificing the comfort and safety of modern electrics and a sustainable heating system. Hand-plastered clay walls and oiled Douglasie floors also ensure a good indoor climate.

The furnishings in the style of the Black Forest with parlour, living room and country kitchen invite you to relax, feel good and linger. Whether with a glass of wine from the Alde Gott wine cooperative 10 minutes away, a good whiskey or schnapps from the nearby Scheibel distillery or a hearty beer from the Bauhöfer brewery, you can end the day comfortably and in peace with friends in our parlour or in the living room on the restored sofa from the turn of the century with a good book or film.

Our house offers spacious accommodation for up to 4 adults. The sleeping possibilities can be combined well with a double bed and two single beds, which can function as a double bed.
A mattress for a child or teenager and an additional travel cot can be provided in the large room upstairs.
