The Rise is a walkable location to two major station <15 min. Conveniently located in the nightlife district. Rooms are small - even for Japan standards. I wasn’t thrilled with the front desk. Check in is “automated” via a kiosk and when we called down to ask how to turn off the entryway light no one could help.

My stay at The Rise Osaka was a huge disappointment. The rooms were dirty, run down, and far smaller than the photos suggested, with worn-out furniture and barely any space to move around. The air conditioning gave off a terrible smell, and the TVs hardly worked when using streaming services — constantly freezing or crashing. To make things worse, the elevators were an absolute nightmare; in the mornings it could take up to 20 minutes just to get downstairs because everyone was waiting to use them. The location was also a bit inconvenient compared to other hotels in Osaka, making it harder to get around easily. For the price, you’d expect at least a basic level of comfort, but instead it felt neglected, outdated, and frustrating from start to finish. I regret booking here and would not recommend it to anyone.

Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Staff helpful and attentive. Convenient location being around 10 minutes walk from Osaka station. The rooms are very small, pretty standard for Japan but something that may surprise western travellers. The only negative is that if you want to travel around the city on your check out day they charge to hold your suitcase, it isn’t much but every other hotel I’ve ever stayed in does this for free.

Nice hotel in a quiet business area. Lots of convenience stores around and higher priced restaurants nearby. More affordable options are a bit farther away. Easy access to several metro and rail lines. Found some hair from previous guests and WiFi was terrible.
