We booked last minute and ended up walking 5 miles to get there, from a different hotel we stayed in one night. We were exhausted and dehydrated and a lovely young woman at the front desk gave us electrolyte candies to help us recover (it was a hot day). We did not originally plan to walk so far. Anyway the staff were all really kind, polite and helpful. We were allowed to check in early for a small fee, which was really nice and very helpful. The hotel is attached to another building and there is an International help center (a lovely lady named Kiyo helped to make us feel welcome and also helped us with our early check in). There are some nice dining options within walking distance, a yummy French bakery called Parigot a few blocks down the road.
If you are sound sensitive bring earplugs, there is a fire station that occasionally can be heard. We are quite but some of the other less considerate people staying at the Hotel were loud and woke us up. Anyway I was happy with our stay overall.
