Not worth the price and definitely not a 9.

First of all, the room was clean and fairly well maintained. However, there's no way this is a "9". I paid $180 for each of a two night stay but this is a $120/night hotel or less, despite the location and being the only "hotel" in town. Elevator- Doesn't work and never will according to the front desk clerk. Can't get parts. So you have to hoof it to the 3rd of 4th floor. No second floor. (huh?, yeah, me too) TV - these are 20 year old, 720dp, 32 inch tv's. The remote situation is antiquated. You can't scroll through the guide; you have to let it refresh through available channels. Breakfast - typical for this type of low-end hotel (think Drury or Hampton) but more limited in options. Beds - fine. The smaller square pillows. Some people like them, others not so much. Room - clean and fine. Larger than expected. Bathroom - again, clean and fine, but it's a tub with a curtain. I understand families with small kids prefer this, but a walk in shower is preferred. The bottom line is that this hotel is 20+ years old and it's not getting renovated. Once the Ballpark is complete, other hotels will move in (should move in) and Sleep Inn will be out of business. It's okay, but not for the price I paid. Not quite highway robbery but close.

There was nothing wrong with the room however that seemed to be the only thing going for the hotel. The vending machine, ice machine and the elevator were all out of order. The hot tub water was also very murky and filled with so much chlorine it made your eyes burn after only a few minutes in it. Lastly the breakfast was hit or miss if there was anything left even with two hours before it ended.

It seems like there was a staff shortage. No one was at the front desk when we walked in and we rang the bell a couple times and an older gentleman finally arrived. He seemed to be the only employee around. The room was clean and all room accommodations were fine. Luckily we were on the first floor as the only elevator was out of order. The ice machine and vending machine were also out of order.

Overall nice hotel. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast constisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, muffins, fruit, cereal, coffee, juice. The one thing I disliked was the bed. You'd think wirh all the money this hotel makes, they could afford to replace a mattress when its worn out! Creaky mattress that you could feel the springs, because it was so worn out. And previous guests complained the elevator was broken for months. We didnt have to use the elevator, but it was still broken during our stay. If you want better reviews, invest in new mattresses, and fix things that are broken!

Clean but needs repairs

Staff was very friendly and hotel looked updated. The issues were the elevator was broken and only 1 ice maker worked. Only 1 light bulb in bathroom worked.

Staff somewhat inept -- desk clerk made sure to loudly announce our room number to everyone in the lobby. The hotel is very run down, the elevator is broken. The clerk gave me a room on the fourth floor, before explaining the elevator problem. And the keys didn't work; watching the young man operating the key card device, I believe he just wasn't shown how.

We have stayed here several times. The room was on the bottom floor and smelled musty,window was blocked by cars. So we couldn't even open the curtains. Then the 2nd day while eating our lunch in the dinning area, went to go throw away some trash and a roach was walking on the trash can. This is right by the counter that the breakfast is made. When we went to go get staff at the front desk they acted bothered by us telling them. One of the guys walked in , I guess he caught it and then just threw it in the trash can. And was not happy he had to do that. Mold was in the shower. We will no longer stay here ever again.
