The best breakfast in Spain

Some of the staff are rude especially in the dining room where the floor is so slippery it’s all you can do to try not slip over with a plate of food that you have had to try to get while being pushed out of the way by young kids and their parents! Check in took way too long and there was queues of people was ridiculous.

Very outdated and basic room. Air conditioning was broken, shower drain was broken, pool had black mold on tile, check in kines were long and process very slow. Was expensive dor what you got. Area is unique— like a ceoss between wanna be Disney and Vegas. Hotel was close to the beach which was nice. I would not stay there again

Stressful Cafeteria Style Buffet

Weekend with my significant other and my 10 year old daughter. The hallways where the rooms are reminded me of a hospital! And because of the indoor pool and spa, it smelt of chlorine which added to the hospital vibe. I've been to many 4 star hotels and I would say this one is not up to par with the standard I was expect. The rooms have no personality, it feels very institutional. Our room and bathroom were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable. I dreaded meal times, they were stressful! It felt like walking into a school cafeteria: lots of people, lots of noise, sometimes people spilled some of the food off their plates or children would spill their drinks as they were walking around the buffet, just a lot of commotion! I guess it is to be expected at a resort built around amusement parks! My daughter had a blast though, which was the point of the weekend, I suppose.

Comfortable Hotel

We enjoyed the area it was a bit far to get to but found our way by metro and rail also you need to get a taxi from Station it is a bit out of the way but lovely surroundings and staff very friendly. Food plenty but bland.

It is in he middle of no where and we found it very hard as no one really spoke English. We used our phone as a translator. The room was clean. It double bed was very uncomfortable for myself and my husband. Pool was good for the kids. Remember to have a cap tho. They played music in the pool area that was so loud it was ear pearcing at times. Food was average and no real selection.

A well placed location for the beach and amenities

Very clean hotel, child friendly and with lovely swimming pools. Encountered no British at hotel but some of the staff spoke adequate English. The hotel food was buffet Mediterranean and very plentiful. Wi fi was adequate for e mail. Fridge hair dryer and safe in room. Our air con didn't seem to work but was not needed. No tea and coffee making facilities supplied in room. Preparations are being undertaken for a building plot next door which could cause disturbance nExt season. Meal times are very busy with up to a thousand people at the buffet but staff are slick at clearing and there was never any waiting

Love the Gran Duque

This hotel is great. The facilities and the food top notch. I visited with my daughter during half term holidays and we had a great time. Daily activities for the kids, despite there only being a handful of children in the hotel. The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent. The only downside was almost all of the local shops and restaurants were closed for the season. This is not the fault of the hotel, of course, but it was a shame there was not more going on in the area. All that said, it meant we used the hotel facilities more than we would normally and found our stay lovely.

Nice hotel but definitely a place for families with kids. We were a group of friends staying there for FIB so wasn't the ideal hotel for us. Lots and lots of families and children so not particularly relaxing. But rooms we nice and the pool was great.

Lovely hotel for a bargain price!

Stayed in the hotel for 4 nights as at the Benicassim Music Festival and was really impressed by the hotel.Really nice rooms and the shower was amazing! The pool area was lovely and always got a bed by the pool.It was nice to chill out at but alot of people staying there were there for the festival but would recommend to anyone. Very good value and you can use the faclities in the hotel group in Orpersa Del Mar.
